Chapter 5: An Unexpected Meeting

Start from the beginning

"My daughter, Altair Comet, has gone missing," he stated firmly, his optics scanning the room. "She left Iacon without permission, and we have reason to believe she has ventured beyond the city limits. We must find her before she gets herself into danger."

Bulkhead crossed his arms, his massive frame tense. "You sure she didn't just go out for a drive? Maybe to clear her head?"

Optimus shook his head. "She drugged B-127 with sleeping medicine in order to escape unnoticed. That is not the behavior of someone merely going on a casual drive."

Ultra Magnus let out a sigh, rubbing his temple. "That kid's got a streak of recklessness in her, just like her father before he became Prime."

Ironhide cracked his knuckles. "Then we don't waste time. We split up and scour every possible exit from Iacon. If she took a transport, we need to track the train routes leading to the surface."

"I'll check the train stations," Arcee volunteered. "If she was trying to get to the surface, she had to sneak onto one of them."

Optimus nodded. "Good. Bulkhead, you take the eastern outskirts. Ironhide, the west. Ultra Magnus and I will focus on the main roads leading beyond our territory. We must find her before she goes too far."

With that, the Autobots rolled out, their engines roaring as they split up in search of Altair Comet.

Meanwhile, Altair Comet was anything but in distress.

Far from the structured streets of Iacon, she reveled in the newfound freedom of the surface world. The sky above was vast, the terrain rugged and untamed. It was nothing like the pristine, orderly city she had known all her life.

She chased after a herd of Cybertronian deer, their sleek, metallic bodies gleaming as they leapt across the landscape. Laughing, she ran after them, shouting, "Run, run, little bots! You can't escape me!"

The deer scattered, and Altair burst into delighted giggles before spotting a shimmering pool of Energon nearby. Without hesitation, she sprinted towards it and leapt in with a triumphant cry.

"Ya-hoo!" she shouted as she splashed into the glowing blue liquid, sending ripples of light across the surface. "This is amazing!"

She floated on her back, gazing up at the alien yet beautiful sky. For the first time, she truly felt free. No lectures, no restrictions—just her and the wild, unexplored world.

But as she swam, completely lost in the moment, she failed to notice just how far she was drifting from safety.

And just how close she was getting to the Badlands.

In the dark heart of Kaon, Megatron sat upon his massive throne, optics burning with thought. He tapped his clawed fingers against the armrest before summoning his guards.

"Bring me my son," he commanded.

Within minutes, Orion Eclipse, a young bot barely past his sixteenth cycle, entered the room with cautious steps. His slim, silver-and-purple frame contrasted with his father's massive, battle-worn form. Unlike Megatron, who exuded power and dominance, Orion Eclipse carried himself with uncertainty, his golden optics flickering with nervousness.

"You summoned me, father?" he asked quietly.

Megatron studied his son carefully. "You are sixteen now, Orion Eclipse. Old enough to make your own decisions."
