10:42 PM – JEON ENTERPRISES, CEO’S OFFICE
The boardroom was silent. Not peaceful—tense.
Jeon Jungkook sat at the head of the table, his dark eyes scanning the room with quiet authority. Investors murmured about expansion strategies and financial forecasts, but Jungkook wasn’t paying attention. His mind was elsewhere.
Then—his phone vibrated.
A distraction he normally ignored. But when he saw the name flashing on the screen, his stomach dropped.
Jimin.
Jungkook’s fingers tightened around the device before he pressed it to his ear.
“What?” His voice was cold.
"Jungkook, you need to get to the docks. Now.”
Jungkook’s blood ran cold. “What happened?”
“Y/N—she beat the shit out of Kwon Seojin. His men aren’t taking it lightly. It’s bad.”
Jungkook exhaled sharply, his grip on the phone turning vice-like.
“She’s surrounded,” Jimin continued, voice urgent. “I don’t think they’ll let her walk away.”
Jungkook rose from his chair, his movements eerily calm. He set his phone down, his voice deadly quiet.
“Meeting’s over.”
The boardroom fell into stunned silence.
One executive, an older man with graying hair, dared to clear his throat. “Sir, we haven’t—”
Jungkook’s dark gaze snapped to him. Sharp. Lethal.
“I said, meeting’s over.”
No one spoke after that.
Jungkook turned, walking out without another word.
He was already dialing.
“Minhyuk. Bring the car. Now.”
“Yes, sir.”
By the time he reached the ground floor, his black Aston Martin was already waiting.
Jungkook slid inside, gripping the wheel.
Then, he floored the gas.

11:02 PM – THE DOCKYARD
The dockyard was a warzone.
Dim streetlights flickered, casting eerie shadows on the cracked pavement. The air was thick with gasoline and saltwater.
Jungkook barely had time to take in the chaos before he saw you.
You stood in the center of a loose circle of Seojin’s men, your stance defiant, blood dripping from your knuckles. At your feet, Kwon Seojin lay groaning, his nose visibly broken, blood pooling beneath him.
Jungkook clenched his jaw. Fuck.
“Y/N.”
Your head snapped toward him, eyes flashing. “Took you long enough.”
Jungkook ignored the irritation in your voice. He was too busy scanning the twelve men surrounding you—armed, pissed, and looking for revenge.
He stepped forward, his voice dangerously calm.
“Who’s first?”
A deep chuckle rumbled through the group. A man—tall, muscular, with a jagged scar down his jaw—stepped forward.
