~~OBSSESION~~ {BOOK 1} (Shadow Milk Cookie x reader)

Shadow Milk Cookie's sinister grin widened as he folded his arms, gazing at the swirling waters of the Yogurt River of Rebirth with a look of dark amusement. His mismatched eyes—one cyan with a black slit pupil and black eyelashes, the other cerulean with a white slit pupil and white eyelashes—gleamed with a predatory glint, savoring the moment.

"I've changed my mind," he purred, turning his gaze toward Black Sapphire Cookie. "Explain."

Black Sapphire Cookie bowed dramatically, ever the performer. "Gladly, my Lord. Today, we have prepared a special show for you! The esteemed Pure Vanilla Cookie himself has volunteered to become our test subject—a voyage to the source of his many sorrows!"

A stunned silence followed.

"What...?" GingerBrave, Strawberry Cookie, Wizard Cookie, and Reader Cookie all exclaimed at once.

Before any of them could react further, the surroundings shifted. A strange force pulled them from beneath their feet, and in a blink, they found themselves transported to an unfamiliar landscape.

Reader Cookie barely had time to register the sensation before their eyes widened at the breathtaking sight before them. The Yogurt River of Rebirth stretched endlessly, a shimmering stream that glowed with hues of soft blue and milky white, reflecting the unknown depths below. Even in the midst of such danger, they couldn't help but appreciate the eerie beauty of the place. The river flowed peacefully, seemingly tranquil, yet something about it sent an uneasy chill down their spine.

GingerBrave gawked. "Now there's a river?!"

Reader Cookie narrowed their eyes. "I have a bad feeling about this..."

Wizard Cookie crossed his arms with an exasperated huff. "Oh, for goodness' sake, skip the theatrics and get to the point! Why are we here?!"

Black Sapphire Cookie chuckled. "Why, every show requires an audience! I bet you cannot wait to partake in the creation of Master Shadow Milk Cookie's next masterpiece!"

"Not at all!" the four of them snapped in unison, glaring.

Black Sapphire Cookie merely laughed. "Oh, such a warm welcome! Now that our guests are all revved up, it's time for a little preface! Behold—the great Yogurt River of Rebirth!" He gestured grandly to the waters as if revealing a treasured prize.

GingerBrave scoffed. "Gee, this cookie must really love the sound of his own voice."

Reader Cookie sighed. "That's the understatement of the century."

Black Sapphire Cookie smirked, turning his sharp gaze toward them. "Hah! Master was right about you—you are a rather funny Cookie!"

Reader Cookie met his gaze with unimpressed eyes. "Your monologue only captivated you."

Black Sapphire Cookie let out a dramatic sigh before continuing. "No matter if you are as light as a feather or swim as well as a fish... dip your feet into these waters, and you will surely drown! And yet? How odd! This majestic stream is called the 'River of Rebirth'! You see, there is a way to stay afloat."

His smile turned wicked. "All you need to do is... embrace deceit."

Strawberry Cookie's breath hitched. "Embrace... deceit?"
