I ADJUSTED THEHEM of my Cowboys jersey as I walked through the tunnel leading to the stands. Today the Cowboys were playing the Browns, at home, and the energy in the stadium was electric.
Football has always been apart my life growing up, having two older brothers who played the sport was nothing but going to football games my entire childhood.
My mom walked beside me, holding onto Aaiden's hand. He was very excited about the game. "I bet Dad is gonna get an interception today!" He said excitedly.
I smiled at him. "You think so?"
"I know so! He told me he'll get me more toys if he gets one" Aaiden said.
"Your daddy got you spoiled, you got too much toys already" Mama shook her head.
"Mimi there's no such thing as too much toys" Aaiden told her, making me laugh a little.
We settled into our seats just as the teams were on the field warming up. Trevon spotted us and jogged over. "Y'all made it" he said giving us a hug one at a time.
"Ready to see me play?" he asks Aaiden, who nodded his head still beaming with excitement.
"Y'all better win" I say, crossing my arms. "I didn't left my bed just to watch y'all lose"
"That's right, no excuses" mama nodded in agreement.
"Man, have some faith. Y'all could've left all that negativity at home" Trevon chuckled.
The whistle blew signaling the team to come back to the locker rooms. "Alright, I gotta go. Enjoy the game" was the last thing Trevon said before leaving.
