Revenant always operated on the fringes. He was there, but never fully part of the team—always in the background, watching.

That changed in Prague.

The mission was a disaster before it even started.

Task Force 141 had been tracking a high-value Shadow Company target through the city. They were supposed to hit fast, extract intel, and get out before anyone knew they were there.

But the enemy was waiting.

An IED blew their cover.

Gunfire erupted from the rooftops, windows—a full-scale ambush.

Soap barely had time to take cover before bullets ripped through the market stalls around them.

"Multiple hostiles, high ground—" Ghost's voice was cut off by the sound of an RPG exploding too damn close.

They were boxed in. No easy exit, no backup, no hope of getting out clean.

Price was already calling for an emergency evac. "We need to move—"

Then, over the chaos, came a low voice in their comms.

"...Hold your position."

It took a second for them to register it.

Soap's heart jumped. "Revenant?"

The response was immediate. "I'm already in position."

Then the lights went out.

The street went pitch black. The enemy comms cut to static.

Then, the screaming started.

Silent takedowns. Suppressed shots. Enemies dropping, one after another.

Soap peered through his scope and barely caught the blur of movement on the rooftops. A figure in the shadows, moving like a ghost, cutting through the enemy ranks with terrifying precision.

One by one, the pressure eased. Their attackers thinned out.

Then—silence.

Not a single hostile left standing.

Revenant dropped into view a second later, stepping over the last body like it was an afterthought.

He didn't say a word.

Price exhaled, lowering his weapon. "You saved our asses."

Revenant simply tilted his head. "It's what I do."

Ghost studied him carefully. "You didn't have to."

Revenant met his gaze. "You're wrong."

And that was that.

They never said it out loud, but after that night in Prague, Revenant wasn't just an ally in the dark anymore.

He was one of them.

For all their rivalry, Revenant and Ghost never actually teamed up. Until Mexico.

It was a two-man infiltration. Shadow Company had a secured bunker on the outskirts of Las Almas, and 141 needed eyes inside. No alarms. No bodies left behind.

Soap and Gaz took bets on who would get spotted first.

Neither of them did.

Ghost and Revenant moved in perfect sync.

One moment, a guard turned— Revenant snapped his neck before he could react.

Another reached for his radio—Ghost's blade buried into his throat.

Not a single shot fired. No alarms. No sign they were ever there.

When they reached the control room, Ghost murmured, "Not bad."

Revenant simply replied, "Likewise."

Soap, watching through the drone feed, grinned. "Look at that—teamwork."

Gaz smirked. "Damn. Guess we lost the bet."

They still didn't like to admit it, but that night, Ghost and Revenant proved that together, they were unstoppable.

The mission in Siberia was a suicide run. They all knew it.

141 had been ambushed, cut off from extraction, and forced into the mountains. The enemy had numbers, air support, and the brutal cold on their side.

Revenant took point.

He led them through the blizzard, past enemy patrols, weaving through the terrain like he knew it by heart.

Then, the shot rang out.

Soap turned just in time to see Revenant stagger, blood blooming on his side.

Ghost immediately grabbed him. "Stay with me."

Revenant gritted his teeth. "...Keep moving."

He should've gone down. Should've collapsed. But he didn't.

He fought.

He dragged himself forward, covering their flank, taking down enemies even as blood painted the snow.

By the time they reached the evac point, he was barely standing.

Soap caught him before he hit the ground. "You stubborn bastard."

Revenant exhaled, half-conscious. "Takes one to know one."

They got him out. He survived.

But for the first time, 141 realized something:

Revenant wasn't just a shadow watching from the dark anymore.

He bled for them. He fought for them. He stayed for them.

And that meant everything.

Because now?

He wasn't just their ally.

He was family.
