It had been a long morning at the Farspace Fleet base. Ever since she arrived, he couldn't believe what was happening. She was finally here, with him, in Skyhaven.
After discovering her in disguise during an undercover mission, he couldn't bear to let go again. She was in his home, alone, and probably bored out of her mind. With a promise he would take her out to see the city, he immediately got back to work.
Like clockwork, he could take a breather during lunch time. Constantly checking his house was part of his routine. He opened his phone and checked through the cameras surrounding every corner of his home. There would always be a threat lurking, especially now that she was back in his life.
He almost spit the water out of his mouth when he saw her walking around the living room in his workout shirt. The cut-off sleeves revealed her side profile, clearly showing she wasn't wearing a bra.
His pants had tightened around his growing member. It seemed like a struggle to keep it down lately. At this point, she was doing this on purpose.
"Damn it." He gritted his teeth in frustration.
His yearning eyes followed her as she walked over to the kitchen to get something to eat until she reached his living room, lounging on the sofa as his shirt hiked up to her torso. Her underwear was a little red silk lace number, delicate and see through. Caleb was unaware that he had gripped his phone too tightly. A little more force and he could have crushed it entirely.
The guilt of watching her through the camera was evident, but he couldn't just look away, afraid that she might disappear into the shadows. He exited from watching and called her.
"Hey..." she said, less enthusiastically. "Something wrong?"
Caleb took a deep breath. It wasn't really a joyful reunion, he expected, but he was trying his best to appease her anger. He had so much explaining to do, yet he couldn't reveal everything to her.
"I just..." miss you — he almost blurted out. "I'm going to be home soon."
"Okay, I'll see you later, then."
The call cut off, leaving him in silence.
By the time he got home, only the faint light of the city filtered through his entire house. He went straight to his room and found her sleeping soundly, snuggled up in his comforter.
He let her be while he prepped dinner. He had already taken off his uniform jacket, making it less suffocating to move around. Cooking was something Caleb enjoyed. It was going to be extra special because he knew she missed her favorites.
The door to his room opened. As he looked back, he saw her standing by the doorway. Her eyes squinted from the bright light, adjusting herself slightly.
His smile widened, seeing her finally awake. "There you are, pip-squeak. Did you get a good nap?"
She only nodded in response, padding through the kitchen floors barefoot. He noticed she hadn't changed since this morning.
"I'll be there with you in a few." He said whilst turning the stove off.
Caleb subconsciously flinched when she appeared beside him. She had disheveled hair, and her groggy face looked adorable.
"Is that what I think it is?" He could finally see the sparkle back in her eyes. She couldn't resist Caleb's special.
Clearing his throat, he eagerly replied. "Yeah. It's no other than my most special recipe, braised pork belly."
There was a faint smile on her face, yet her eyes held such sorrow that he wanted to take away in an instant.
"You—" Her fiery eyes locked with his. Anger was now simmering in their depths. He couldn't look away as his hands trembled to reach out and touch her face, wishing to erase the storm within her. If he had the chance to atone for all his sins, he'd gladly drown in her rage, as long as it meant he could still be in her life.
