Immortality Is A Curse

Aaron and Krin reach the outskirts of his kingdom within an hour's run. There they see a lone man that appears to be spying on the city.

"Over there," Krin says softly, pointing at the figure.

"He doesn't look friendly if he's spying on my city," Aaron says as they approach, doing their best to stay out of sight from the city itself.

The figure hears them approach and turns to face them, "You're here, good."

"Haly," Krin greets.

"Haly? Oh, you're the one Yibb said went after my daughter," Aaron says.

"Yeah. Did Yibbler send you? I got the situation handled," Haly says, turning his attention back inwards to the city as Aaron and Krin get on either side of him.

"She's my daughter, I'm getting her back," Aaron says.

"We're getting her back," Krin says.

"Okay, so Vrox is in here somewhere, but a new regime has taken over. I don't recognize any of them. They got guards patrolling all around and a new leader, I haven't seen who yet," Haly says, filling them in.

"Okay, so what's the plan? See an opening in the patrols?" Aaron asks.

"If this is a new regime we may not recognize you Aaron. We may be able to just walk in," Krin says.

"I haven't seen what they do to people yet. The city is a ghost town right now," Haly says.

"That means minimal casualties," Aaron says, standing up and reaching for his sword.

"We don't know these guys, if we do in fighting we may lose Vrox and your daughter," Haly says.

"They won't dare hurt my daughter. They don't even know we're related yet," Aaron says, as a guard walks near oblivious to them. The guard has similarly built armor like the guards Aaron killed when he went for the throne.

Aaron draws his sword and lunges out just in time for Haly to grab his arm and pull him back mid lunge, pulling him off balance and to the ground. The little skirmish gets the attention of the guard.

"Haly!" Aaron shouts, trying to get up as the guard sees them hiding.

"What are you doing here?" The guard says, in a stern and aggressive tone.

"I'm here to find my daughter," Aaron says, picking up his sword as he stands up.

"All citizens are to be held in the arena," The guard says. "I'll take your weapons."

"Not a chance," Aaron says, squaring up to the guard.

"Hey, let's talk this out, no need to start a fight here," Haly says.

Krin agrees with Haly but stands by Aaron ready for a fight.

The guard squares up, "We got stragglers on the South perimeter," the guard shouts, getting the attention of other patrolling guards. "Last chance, surrender your weapons and come peacefully!" He shouts now with other guards backing him up.

"You want my sword? Fine," Aaron says out of character, Haly and Krin look over at Aaron confused. "You can have the blade first," Aaron jumps out stabbing the guard in the abdomen under his chest armor.

Haly sighs as the possibility of negotiations are lost. Krin chuckles and jumps into the fight. Utilizing his invisible armor to its fullest, blocking swords with his arms.

More guards swarm as Aaron and Krin waste them with ease.

"What is with you and killing everyone you meet?" Haly says annoyed, watching Aaron and Krin slaughter the guards.
