Leah was lying on her bed, phone in hand, enjoying her daily dose of insta reels, but then Grace interrupted her peace.

"I've got an idea," she announced, grinning like she'd just discovered the meaning of life.

Leah barely glanced up. "That's never good."

"No, listen, it's genius." Grace bounced on her toes. "I have to film a YouTube video. Like, today."

Leah sighed, locking her phone. "And...?"

"And I need you to be in it."

Leah raised an eyebrow. "For what?"

Grace waved a hand. "Baking cookies. It's gonna be funny."

Leah gave her a flat look. "You remember the brownies, right?"

"That was different," Grace said quickly.

"How?"

"This time, we have a plan."

Leah still wasn't convinced, but she knew she wasn't getting out of this. "Fine."

Grace beamed. "Great. I'm calling KK and Nika."

Leah groaned, already bracing herself for chaos.

Grace put KK on speaker. "Hey, babe, what's up?"

"We're baking cookies. You in?"

There was a pause. Then KK laughed. "Girlboo, you know damn well."

Nika's voice chimed in from the background. "Wait, are we actually trying to bake, or is this just for entertainment?"

Grace hesitated. "Both?"

Nika sighed dramatically. "This is gonna be bad."

Leah snorted. "Oh, it's definitely gonna be bad."

...

Less than an hour later, the four of them were sitting in the car, heading to the grocery store. Grace had her camera rolling before they even pulled out of the parking lot.

"Alright, vlog time," she announced. "We're making cookies. It's gonna be amazing."

Leah leaned into the frame. "Cut to us burning the kitchen down."

"Shut up, Leah," Grace said, laughing. "We just gotta lock in."

KK snorted. "Right, right."

...

At the store, they started grabbing ingredients—flour, sugar, chocolate chips, butter, eggs. Grace was too busy vlogging to actually check what they needed, so Leah ended up taking over.

"We should probably get extra chocolate chips," KK said, smirking at Nika. "Otherwise, Nika's gonna eat them all."

Nika gasped. "That's so rude."

Leah grabbed three bags.

...

Back at Nika and KK's apartment, the chaos began. Grace set up her camera, while Leah and Nika stared at the recipe on Grace's phone like it was written in a foreign language.

"This looks too easy to fail," Grace said confidently.

Leah frowned at the screen. "Why does it need so much butter?"

Nika crossed her arms. "Please, like you know what the appropriate amount of butter is."

"Think of the content," Grace added, smiling at the camera.

Leah muttered, "Think of the disaster."

And disaster it was.

The dough looked... wrong. No matter how much flour they added, it stayed weirdly oily and clumpy.
