~Your first lunch with them in the Great Hall~

Start from the beginning

"Daphne, you absolute legend. I've seen first-years handle mail owls better than you."

Daphne groaned. "You know what? I don't need this slander."

Draco smirked. "Oh, but you do. And don't worry, we'll make sure this tale is passed down for generations."

You couldn't help but laugh as Daphne let out an exasperated sigh, while Theo leaned back in his seat, his gaze flickering to you with something almost unreadable-but definitely interested.

And just like that, you had the strange feeling that this group, chaotic as they were, might actually be fun...especially Theo.

Enzo strode into the Great Hall, the lively chatter of students mixing with the mouthwatering aroma of lunch. Beside him, Draco walked with a smirk playing at his lips, one that immediately put Enzo on edge. Narrowing his eyes, he shot Draco a questioning look.

"Why are you smirking like that?"

Draco turned to him, his smirk widening. "What? This?" He gestured vaguely at his face. "It's just my usual smirk."

A pure lie. That smirk was different-calculated. Amused. Like he was plotting something.

"You should really learn to lie better, Malfoy," Enzo muttered, stopping in his tracks to face him properly.

Draco raised a brow, feigning innocence. "When did I lie?"

Enzo huffed, unconvinced.

Draco chuckled, tilting his head. "Actually, it's quite heartwarming to see the charming pretty boy of our group standing up for a girl." His smirk deepened. "Though, from where I was standing, it almost looked like the other way around."

Enzo's jaw tensed. "What's that supposed to mean?"

"Oh, nothing," Draco mused, eyes glinting with mischief. "It's just... I always thought you saw every girl as a sister. But the way you stood up for her-" he paused for effect, watching Enzo's silent scowl with satisfaction "-tells me it might be something... more."

Before Enzo could snap back, an arm was draped lazily over his shoulders. He scowled at the new intrusion, but Mattheo only chuckled.

"What are you two gossiping about?" he asked, grinning as he glanced between them.

Draco merely smirked, while Enzo sighed, already regretting his life choices.

"Oh, nothing... just talking about a certain Prince Charming whose eyes seem to have landed on a particular girl," Draco answered smoothly, his smirk never fading.
