One afternoon, you and Daphne were lingering in the corridor after classes, settling into your usual spot near the balcony that overlooked the Hogwarts grounds and the mesmerizing expanse of the Black Lake. After a grueling week of tedious lessons, the weekend was finally within reach. Of course, there was still an overwhelming pile of schoolwork waiting—Hogwarts professors were never that merciful. Stupid. But you pushed the thought aside. There was plenty of time to worry about that later. For now, a moment of peace.
"Y/N!"
Or so you thought.
So much for peace. With a forced smile, you turned to see Lorenzo and Mattheo strolling toward you, accompanied by an annoyed-looking Tom Riddle. Beside you, Daphne raised an eyebrow, immediately suspicious of the mischievous glint in their eyes. Their widened grins made it obvious—they were up to something-Tom Riddle excluded.
"Hey... what's up, boys?" you managed to keep your tone steady despite the exasperation bubbling inside you.
Enzo's grin widened. "Well... since you seem a little cranky today, we'll get straight to the point."
Mattheo smirked, leaning in slightly. "Trust me, this is gonna make you happy."
You raised an eyebrow, caught between confusion and a flicker of anticipation. Beside you, Daphne shifted slightly, clearly just as eager to hear whatever nonsense they were about to propose.
"We were wondering if you'd join us for a game of Truth or Dare tonight," Enzo said casually. "In the Room of Requirement, perhaps?"
At that, Tom let out a quiet scoff, barely glancing up from the book he was flipping through. "Childish," he muttered, his voice laced with disinterest. "Surely you have better things to do than waste time on ridiculous games."
Mattheo rolled his eyes, nudging Tom's shoulder. "Oh, come on, mate. Live a little."
Tom didn't even dignify that with a response. He merely turned another page, his sharp gaze fixed on the words as though the conversation didn't exist.
