The Departure
As they returned, the other groups were watching.
Martha scoffed. "Such absurd boys shouldn't even be students at this institute."
Jimmy raised an eyebrow. "Even Teacher Karl slapped them hard."
Jeremy laughed.
Meanwhile, Wojo, a foreign exchange student, was curious. "Is getting slapped by a teacher considered bad in this country?"
Jeremy smirked. "Do you want to find out?"
Wo Jo quickly shook his head. "No, but it seems pretty embarrassing."
Martha sneered. "If a Korean boy like you can't tolerate this much, maybe you should leave."
Beverly frowned. "Come on, don't be rude just because he's from Asia."
Jimmy chuckled. "Martha, you should visit Asia sometime."
Martha rolled her eyes. "Girls like me don't like Asia."
Josh, raising his hand, said, "I've been there plenty of times."
Beverly and Martha started arguing again, but Josh sighed, "Girls, we just had a big day at the park. Let's just enjoy our last moments here."
Jeremy agreed. "Yeah! Let's end this with some fun. Jimmy, I bet you 30 bucks you didn't feel even a little bored today."
Jimmy grinned. "Nope. It was incredible!"
Martha, Beverly, Josh, and Wojo all nodded in agreement.
Suddenly, they spotted Chris and his group. Among them were Louise and Clara. Louise was hugging Clara tightly, not wanting to lose her again.
Trio and their group smiled at the scene.
Then, another teacher, Mr. Jean came rushing toward the principal.
"Sir! Some students have gone missing!"
Karl's heart sank.
The buses were scheduled to leave, but their departure was postponed as all the teachers gathered at the main gate.
From Grade 5 to 12, every student and teacher was accounted for, except for the missing ones.
Interestingly, from Grades 1-6, all the class teachers were female. And, as many knew, they all secretly had crush on Karl. He was tall, handsome, intelligent, and effortlessly cool. A teacher excelling in every subject.
The Unresolved Horror
As the students waited, the amusement park manager suddenly approached the principal and whispered something to him.
The principal followed the manager to his office.
For thirty minutes, everyone waited in suspense.
Finally, the principal emerged. His face was unreadable as he addressed the students.
"Everyone, board the buses. We're leaving."
With that, the buses departed, leaving behind the principal, the counselor, Mr. Jean, and a few other teachers.
Jimmy sat with Josh and Jeremy. Behind them sat Martha, Beverly, and WoJo. As the bus rolled away, Jimmy gazed out the window, watching the amusement park, lookint glamorous from here, disappear in the distance.
The next morning, an off day, Jimmy turned on the TV.
A breaking news report flashed on the screen:
