˚ ༘ ೀ⋆。˚🦢⋆.ೃ࿔*:・ headmaster grimm on more bs
after the time we spent in the enchanted forest, duchess and i part ways once its time for classes to resume. after putting my dance things back in my locker, i walk through the busy halls, meeting my boyfriend at his locker.
i rest my chin on his shoulder, managing to get a peek at his mirrorpad. "whatcha doin'?"
dante looks over his shoulder, smiling. "i was about to vote for thronecoming king and queen," he says. "but now you're here, so i'm going to kiss you hello."
dante turns, taking my face gently in his hands, and placing a soft, yet quick kiss on my lips. "hi, feathers."
"hi," i smile.
"have you voted for thronecoming king and queen yet?" he asks me, pulling his phone out of his pocket. "or have you come to bribe me?"
"yes, and yes, now that you brought it up."
he chuckles once more. "no need. i was going to vote for you regardless." after dante finishes, he pockets his phone as asks, "who'd you vote for?"
"raven and dex," i answer. "you?"
"you, of course, and dexter."
"great minds think alike." i kiss his cheek. "what class do you have?"
"heroics 101," dante answers. "if we do anymore cardio, i'm going to walk out."
i chuckle at him. "no you won't."
before dante can give me a retort, the intercom sounds. "raven queen and y/n swan, please report to the headmaster's office at once."
my smile falls and a groan slips out. what does he want now?
"i'll walk you," dante offers, taking my hand. i mutter a thank you, and he walks me across the school to grimm's office.

raven and i sit in front of the headmaster, who sits on his desk facing us. it was uncomfortably quiet. the only noise in the room was the ticking of the clock.
"can we get the two of you anything?" grimm offers. "dragon egg omelet?"
"no," raven politely declines. "i'm good."
"me too."
"miss trollworth! two dragon egg omelets." grimm requests. miss trollworth goes off the get them.
i hum. he was clearly trying to coax us into something.
"so, miss queen, miss swan, how are you thronecoming floats going, hmm?"
"they're going good," i answer dryly, leaning back a bit.
"delightful," grimm smiles.
"can i ask you something?" raven asks.
"of course,"
"why are you being nice to us?" rae throws the question out there. "ever since we didn't sign the storybook of legends on legacy day, we kind of always thought, well, that you saw us a trouble."
i nod. all of it was true. headmaster grimm has always been a strange character. after legacy day, he's gotten, dare i say, worse.
"you two? troublemakers? of course not!" he laughs.
yeah, something was up. even though we aren't, grimm hasn't seen it that way. to him, us not causing trouble was causing trouble.
"but funny you should mention legacy day," he begins.
here it is.
"as you know, thronecoming is one of the few days a year the storybook of legends is removed from its protective case and displayed for the public." grimm explains. "and a perfect time for the two of you to reconsider and sign in front of the whole world."
"i'm sorry, headmaster, but that won't be happening." i say as i stand with raven. "we made our decision to not sign on legacy day, and it's going to stay that way."
"we want to write our own destinies." raven says. "not follow in the footsteps of who came before. now, if there's nothing else, we'll be going."
with that, me and raven leave the headmaster's office.
