Blood.
Red.
His vision was extremely red when the Royal Alpha surveyed the surroundings of the Lavin. The sole of his shoes thumping on the ground could be heard from afar and it was enough for the soldiers to clutch their swords tightly. Their eyes were dripping with shame as well holding remnants of anger. They could swear on their birthplace to swallow down those traitors if only they knew their names. The traitors who dared to harm the Empress.
Their breath fell out of rhythm when the Royal Alpha flashed his angry gaze towards them before passing by the river, with the Royal guest Yunhee following him closely. Yunhee didn't say much when Taehyung walked out of his pavilion while gesturing a simple nod towards her, sensing his facial features, she could know that it's not the appropriate time yet.
The raging mind of the Royal Alpha wasn't letting him think straight, the vision that he often got when he had faced such situations of plagues, wars and battles weren't helping him at all. His mind was raging, hungry for blood and eyes were searching for redness in the surroundings.
He had seen such situations before as well where his cared ones got harmed by destiny, where he failed at protecting them, where destiny wretched them apart from him. But how could his heart feel the pain of the omega as it has never before? Why does his failure seem bigger, darker and severe at this moment? Why, instead of walking forward, his feet wanted to turn around and retrace the path to his own pavilion.
With no answers in his hands, Taehyung kept walking ahead. He filled his head with the excruciating need to correct his mistake, to tilt the periphery of the traitor's body from alive to dead.
His feet took him to the opened gate of the barracks where the soldiers had established their armors for the war. The Commander was awaiting, greeted the Royal Alpha once he saw him entering through the gate.
“The soldiers of the Western land had noticed two omegas taking a stroll at the end of the celebrations. But they said they were just mourning the absence of their mates who haven't appeared in their lives yet.”
Taehyung's eyes moved around the entire armory, the tip of his tongue felt the sharp canine and with a small puncture he tasted the blood of his own, “I see no such omegas.”
The Commander's fist curled behind his back when his nostrils pumped more air into his lungs, “I have asked the soldiers to bring them here. They should be here soon.” The sourness of his mouth felt humiliating when he looked down in front of the Royal Alpha. He wasn't afraid of the Alpha's wrath but his own pride felt a crucial block when the Prince fainted on his chest just after reaching their pavilion.
It was heart wrenching to see his mate lying unconsciously in their arms. They would have been left devastated if the Royal Alpha hadn't informed them about the rapid remedy immediately. The moments seemed to pass like an inch for an hour till the Royal omega vomited out the poison.
The throbbing veins inside his hands were crumbling down with an insane anger towards the person who had accomplished the deed under their nose. He will shred them apart.
Limb by limb.
However his shimmering eyes widened when he saw his other mate stepping inside the armory with a half conscious omega on his back. His feet moved to help Yoongi immediately, eyes glued to the pale face of the Royal omega, “Prince? Why are you here? Are you feeling any pain?” Worried eyes moving from the dull ones to the other pair that carried the same worries as him.
