Heeseung was feeling much better after being sick, and he figured it was time to do something nice for Jake. Since Jake had been the one sneaking around to see him all the time, it was only fair that Heeseung returned the favor.

That’s how he found himself standing in front of SHIM Company, holding a small bag of snacks. He had never visited Jake’s office before, but he was curious to see what his boyfriend was like at work.

As he entered the building, he politely asked for Jake’s office location.

The receptionist smiled. “Oh, Mr. Sim? He’s in a meeting right now. Would you like to wait?”

Heeseung nodded, but just as he was about to sit, his eyes landed on the glass-walled conference room.

Inside, Jake was seated, looking effortlessly professional in his suit. But Heeseung’s attention wasn’t on Jake. It was on the woman standing beside him. She was leaning slightly toward Jake, laughing at something he said.

And then Jake smiled back at her.

Heeseung felt something unpleasant twist in his chest.

His grip tightened around the snack bag.

What… is this feeling?

It took him a moment to realize—he was jealous.

He didn’t even notice he was pouting until Jake suddenly turned his head and spotted him through the glass.

For a second, Jake looked surprised. Then his lips curled into a knowing smile.

Heeseung quickly looked away.

A few minutes later, Jake practically ran out of the meeting, ignoring the confused stares of his colleagues.

“Hee?” Jake grinned, stepping closer. “What are you doing here?”

Heeseung huffed, shoving the snack bag at him. “I thought you’d be hungry.”

Jake accepted the bag with a chuckle, tilting his head. “That’s sweet of you.” Then his grin widened. “But… why do you look mad?”

“I’m not mad.”

Jake’s smirk grew. “Ohhh… you’re jealous.”

Heeseung turned away. “No, I’m not.”

Jake laughed, stepping in front of him again. “Was it because of Hana? She’s just a business partner, Hee.”

“I don’t care,” Heeseung muttered. “You can talk to whoever you want.”

Jake leaned in, whispering, “So if I go back and talk to her again—”

“Jake.” Heeseung’s glare was weak, but Jake was clearly enjoying this way too much.

“Okay, okay, I won’t,” Jake said, grinning. “You’re way cuter when you’re jealous.”

Just as Heeseung was about to protest, another voice interrupted.

“What’s going on here?”

Heeseung’s stomach dropped.

Turning around, he saw Jay and Sunghoon standing by the elevator, arms crossed, staring at Jake with unreadable expressions.

Oh no.

Jake, ever the confident one, straightened up. “Oh, hey, guys. Fancy meeting you here.”

Jay and Sunghoon didn’t look amused.

Sunghoon’s gaze shifted to Heeseung. “Why are you here?”

Before Heeseung could answer, Jake—being Jake—spoke first. “He came to see me, obviously.”

Jay’s eyes darkened. “So you made our baby brother come all the way here?”

“I—”

“Worse,” Sunghoon added. “Did I hear you teasing him?”

Jake took a cautious step back, realizing he was in trouble. “Uh, no? I mean, yes, but—”

Jay cracked his knuckles. “Sim Jaeyun.”

Heeseung sighed, stepping in front of Jake. “Hyungs, stop it.”

Sunghoon shook his head. “No. This guy has been sneaking into our house for weeks, and now he’s making you jealous? Unacceptable.”

Jake looked betrayed. “How do you even know about the sneaking part?”

Jay smirked. “We know everything, Jake.”

Jake gulped. “...Oh.”

Heeseung sighed again. His brothers were impossible.

Later That Night: The Secret Plan

Back at home, after making sure Heeseung had gone to bed, Jay, Sunghoon, and Jake gathered in the living room.

Sunghoon folded his arms. “We need to plan something for Heeseung’s birthday.”

Jay nodded. “Something big.”

Jake grinned. “Leave it to me.”

Jay and Sunghoon exchanged a glance.

“No offense, Jake,” Jay said. “But you’re kind of bad at planning things.”

Jake scoffed. “Excuse me? I’m dating Heeseung, aren’t I? That’s the best plan I’ve ever executed.”

Sunghoon rolled his eyes. “Yeah, yeah, whatever. Let’s just make this perfect for him.”

Jake smirked. “Oh, don’t worry. I have an idea.”

And with that, the three of them began planning the biggest surprise for Heeseung.
