The beach stretched before them, untouched and serene, the sand warm beneath their feet as they settled into their loungers. The water shimmered under the sun, crystal clear and inviting. It was low season, which meant quiet, privacy, and just the right amount of solitude. Exactly what Ling had hoped for.
Mei, on the other hand, had no patience for lounging.
Within seconds of dropping her bag, she tossed her clothes onto the sun bed, stripping down to her swimsuit with no grace.
Ling barely had time to reach for the sunscreen before Mei bolted toward the water.
"Mei!" Ling called out, exasperated. "You need sun cream first!"
"Later!" Mei yelled back, already sprinting toward the waves before diving in effortlessly, disappearing beneath the clear blue.
Ling sighed, shaking her head.
Orm chuckled beside her, stretching out her legs as she leaned back into the chair, sunglasses in place, looking impossibly at ease. "Let her be. She'll remember the sunscreen when she's regretting it later."
Ling sighed but relented, shaking her head as she slowly began to undress, pulling her top over her head before sliding out of her shorts.
She felt it before she saw it.
Orm's gaze.
She didn't have to look to know that behind those dark lenses, Orm's attention was very much on her.
Ling smirked, turning slightly, hands resting on her hips as she arched an eyebrow. "My eyes are up here, babe."
Orm did not look remotely embarrassed. Instead, she tipped her sunglasses down just slightly, smirking as her gaze trailed deliberately slowly back up to Ling's face.
"I know," Orm murmured, her voice low, way too pleased with herself.
Ling exhaled sharply, fighting back a smile as she grabbed the sunscreen bottle and moved closer, standing between Orm's legs.
"You're impossible," she muttered.
Orm hummed, her fingers grazing lazily over Ling's hips before she took the sunscreen from her hand. "Turn around."
Ling hesitated for just a second before obeying, knowing exactly where this was going.
Orm squeezed some lotion onto her palms, and the moment her hands touched Ling's bare skin, spreading the cool sunscreen so very slowly over her back and shoulders, Ling shivered slightly.
"Cold?" Orm teased, her voice way too amused.
Ling exhaled through her nose, trying not to react. "Behave."
"Not my fault," Orm murmured near Ling's ear with her seductive tone, fingers lingering just a little longer than necessary. "I have the hottest fiancée in the hottest bikini. Behaving is almost impossible."
Ling turned her head slightly, meeting Orm's gaze head-on. The heat between them was immediate, simmering beneath the surface, wrapped in the slow, torturous way Orm's hands skimmed her skin.
For a moment, neither of them spoke.
Then, from the ocean, Mei's voice rang out. "Oh my god, just kiss already!"
Ling startled, pulling away quickly, her face flushing as she turned toward the water.
Mei, floating lazily on her back, waved dramatically. "You're not fooling anyone!"
Orm burst into laughter, shaking her head as she settled back into her seat, completely unbothered. "Guess we're not as subtle as we thought."
Ling sighed, rubbing a hand down her face before grabbing her towel. "I'm going in before she says something worse."
