Due to the Ruined One and his "greater good," the Celestial Family suffers a loss that leaves the twins shattered by their grief. They say time heals all wounds but does that stand true when you don't move forward? (It's the Ghost Whisperer Sun AU, at this point I'm just gonna stop specifying because at this point it's really obvious that it's going to be the GWS AU until it finally ends.)

"I... There's no stopping this, is there?" Solar murmurs, his gaze slowly sinking to the floor of parts and service, yellow and black eyes dulling with resignation.
"No, we can stop this, we can!" Moon hisses, his voice raising with desperation as he steps towards his cousin, gripping onto his shoulders. "I'm not going to let this happen, I'm not going to let you die!"
Solar's expression twists with sorrow. "No, we really can't. There's no reversing the collapse of a dimension..."
"There's gotta be something!"
"I'm sorry, Moon, but there is truly nothing that can be done," I speak up, holding my hands together with a soft sigh. "Even if we put him into a new body, his data would still disintegrate, leaving only a husk. I've studied every way I could think of to exclude him, to no avail. I've tried, but there's nothing I can do."
"Then stop this!" Sun interjects, shaking uncontrollably as he glares at me despite the tears rolling down his face. "End the- the program, or whatever it is that's doing this! Stop it and we'll find another way!"
"There is no stopping it now, it's too late. And there is no other way, Sunrise."
"There has to be a way to stop this, something I can do- I'M NOT JUST GOING TO LET HIM DIE!" Moon yells, gripping his head as he seethes.
Then Solar lets out a choked breath, eyes widening as some sort of sensation hits, and he looks at his hand.
"Solar?" Moon whispers, hands balled up into fists as he looks to the other helplessly.
"It shouldn't be painful, at the very least," I tell them.
"That- that's not comforting, you SON OF A BITCH!"
"Moon-" Solar tries, but the other quickly grabs his hand and mutters,
"You're going to be okay, w- I can fix this!"
"... I'm not gonna be okay," He says, shaking his head slowly. "I think this is it..."
"No, no! You're going to be okay!"
"Listen to me, while I can still speak," Solar orders quietly, his voice shaking as he holds onto Moon's shoulder with one hand, then he holds his other one out to Sun. As the latter steps forward and clutches onto it, Solar murmurs, "Thank you both for accepting me into your family. For being my cousins, for making me feel loved, for- for everything, really... You two have made my life so much better, and I wouldn't trade our time together for anything. Not even the chance to live forever." He swallows thickly, looking between them both as his brows crease. "I know you two aren't close, I- I won't ask you to be, just... Be good to each other, alright? And I'm proud of you. Both of you..."
"Solar," Sun sobs quietly, shaking even harder as he shakes his head. "No, no, th- this can't be it!"
"This won't be it, I won't let this be the end of you!" Moon growls, choking back tears of his own.
"... I don't want to go," Solar whispers, looking between them both in fear and heartache and regret.
"You don't have to!"
