Pretend nothing happened.

Trinity, sitting across from her at breakfast, wasn't having it.

"You're literally the dumbest person I know."

Skye, scrolling through the chaos on Twitter, took a sip of her coffee. "Bold statement, considering you willingly hang out with me."

Trinity sighed. "So, what's the plan? How are you getting Nika to forgive you?"

Skye smirked. "Oh, I have a plan."

"...No, you don't."

"I do."

Trinity stared. "Okay. Let's hear it."

Skye grinned. "Step one: Do nothing."

Trinity facepalmed. "That's not a plan. That's stupidity."

Skye shrugged. "Same thing."

Step Two: Instagram Makes Everything Worse

Skye decided to double down on the chaos.

She posted a photo dump from Barcelona:
    1.    A selfie with Trinity, both of them holding up peace signs.
    2.    A pic of the beach at sunset.
    3.    A random photo of a cat.
    4.    The now-infamous Alexia coffee picture.

Caption: "Vacation vibes. Life's good."

The internet: IMMEDIATELY LOST IT.

Later that night, Nika finally called.

Skye took a deep breath and answered.

"...Hey, babe."

Then:

"Skye."

"...Yes?"

"Are you TRYING to piss me off?"

Skye grinned. "Would it be bad if I said yes?"

"SKYE."

Skye laughed. "Okay, okay. Relax. I promise, I'm not messing around with Alexia."

Nika sighed. "I know. But, Skye, you literally don't THINK. You just DO things."

Skye smirked. "That's why you love me."

A long pause.

"...Unfortunately."

Skye grinned. "So, are we good?"

"...We'll see."

Skye fist-pumped the air. Victory.

Trinity, watching the whole thing: "That was the dumbest way to fix a fight I've ever seen."

Skye shrugged. "And yet, it worked."
