Raven's POV

I stared at myself in the mirror, one hand resting on my growing belly, the other gripping the bathroom sink.

Today was the day.

Roman was coming to my appointment.

I had spent the entire morning trying not to think about it, but my nerves had other plans. No matter how much I told myself to stay calm, my stomach felt like it was tied in knots.

What if he backed out? What if he came and felt nothing?

I had no idea what to expect.

The Waiting Room

The OB-GYN office was busier than usual, filled with pregnant women and couples waiting for their turn.

I shifted in my chair, fidgeting with the sleeve of my sweater.

I arched a brow. "And what's that?"

"That he's an idiot."

I couldn't help but laugh. "Ezra—"

"No, seriously." He smirked. "This baby is already cooler than he is, and they're not even born yet."

Before I could respond, the doors to the office swung open.

And just like that—he was here.

Roman Shows Up

Roman walked in like he owned the place, but I saw the hesitation in his movements.

He was dressed in a sharp black coat, dark gray sweater underneath, his hair styled perfectly as always.

Every woman in the waiting room glanced at him. He looked so out of place—like a billionaire who had accidentally stumbled into the real world.
