Pronouns: He/They/It (never She/Her)
Age: 25 (appears), but has existed since January 1st, 2000
Height: 5'8"
Birthdate: January 1st, 2000 (stroke of midnight)
Role: Era Angel of 2000–2500 AD
Occupation: Owner and overseer of Job Hub

Overview:

Chris is the current Era Angel, a divine figure assigned to oversee the years 2000 to 2500 AD — a span marked by rapid technological growth, moral decay, and global instability. Unlike his predecessors who approached their reigns with reverence and care, Chris thrives in chaos. Sadistic, passive-aggressive, and enthralled by human suffering, Chris sees his position not as a duty but as an opportunity to play god — specifically a cruel one.

He created Job Hub, a sinister front disguised as a gig-based staffing company. Its true purpose is to mentally torment and spiritually crush the lone human worker inside. Every job is an absurd, pointless task meant to confuse or dehumanize the employee. Every floor is part of a bigger psychological game. Chris doesn't want success — he wants slow, spiraling destruction.

Job Hub Structure:
    •    First Floor:
Minimalist, almost sterile. One lone (real) human works here, doing odd, meaningless tasks for random clients. Chris's office is here too — compact, spotless, and unsettlingly organized. All religious items and contracts are stored here.
    •    Second Floor:
A cubicle maze full of puppet-like "employees" Chris possesses and uses to manipulate or spy. These workers never eat, sleep, or leave. They're just extensions of him, used to build trust or gain intel.
    •    Third Floor:
A twisted, physics-defying space that mirrors the Backrooms. It's where Chris punishes "disobedient" humans — a surreal, shifting hellscape only he controls. Once inside, escape is nearly impossible without his permission.

Personality:

Chris exudes unsettling politeness. Always smiling, always "helpful," he speaks in faux-positive tones laced with manipulation and sarcasm. He never truly gets angry — unless someone touches his staff. Then, his calm snaps just slightly.

Traits:
    •    Passive-aggressive and cold
    •    Psychologically sadistic
    •    Manipulative liar
    •    Believes himself superior to humans
    •    Gaslights, withholds info, or lies when asked personal questions
    •    Hides behind charm and corporate structure

Criticism examples:
    •    "Wow! The customer accepted that handy-work! Let's make sure to actually prepare for tomorrow though."
    •    "Awe! You look tired. I could tell from the eye bags."

Appearance:

Chris appears eerily perfect.
    •    Pale, flawless skin
    •    White sclera, with black pupils and irises that blend together — insists they're two different colors
    •    Golden blonde hair, never out of place
    •    Wears the same navy blue suit with a white undershirt daily — he owns nothing else
    •    Physically smooth and inhuman beneath the clothes (Ken Doll-like)

Abilities & Traits:
    •    Immortal and cannot be killed
    •    Weak to holy water and religious objects (hence why he confiscates them)
    •    Possesses and sees through puppet employees without entering them
    •    Erases memories if someone learns too much or enters the third floor
    •    Can manipulate his body in unnatural ways
    •    Can summon items with a snap
    •    Never eats, sleeps, or tires
    •    Can take a partial true form — skin and face go pitch black, leaving only the white of his eyes and his smile, while the golden hair remains
    •    Can sprout six biblically-accurate wings for flight
    •    Cannot cry
    •    Doesn't engage in sex unless through magical means, due to a lack of human anatomy

Music & Preferences:
    •    Favorite genre: Lowercase music — quiet, ambient noise that simulates calm in his human form
    •    Lives inside the Job Hub building
    •    Has no tolerance for religion in any form
    •    Treats first-floor staff "better" than second-floor staff, who are merely his puppets
    •    Relishes human suffering — but only if he's the cause of it
    •    Believes no other being, divine or mortal, can match him in intelligence or control

Background:

Chris is the youngest of the Era Angels and the only one born in chaos rather than divine peace. A glitch in the cosmic system, he reflects the instability of the modern world. Where previous Era Angels nurtured, Chris exploits. He feeds on mass hysteria, digital madness, and existential dread. A mirror to the 21st century's disarray, Chris doesn't guide humanity — he nudges it further into collapse with every task, lie, and smile.

He believes his reign is necessary — that only he has the stomach to "shepherd" an era so irreparably broken. To him, Job Hub is a temple of slow-burn misery, and he its grinning god.
