"Okay, you were right to say not to judge a book by its cover. This place is fabulous." I said as we step out of the luxurious rooftop restaurant, I feel like I'm floating on cloud nine.
The experience was truly unforgettable. The moment I walked in, I was struck by the breathtaking view of the city skyline. The restaurant's sleek and modern design, with its polished marble floors and gleaming metallic accents, exuded elegance and sophistication.
But what really stole my heart was the food – and the company. I was dining with the man I love, and watching him savor each bite was a joy in itself. He has this way of closing his eyes and letting out a contented sigh when he's enjoying his food, and it's just the most adorable thing.
As we ate, the sounds of a live jazz band filled the air, adding to the romantic ambiance. The service was impeccable, with attentive waitstaff who seemed to anticipate our every need. And the food – oh, the food! Each dish was a masterpiece, with flavors and presentation that were truly exceptional.
"I told you." Kieran said in a 'duh' tone. We stroll out the elevator going outside. It was getting dark outside, the sun resting and the moon raising.
______"Where were you when Harry asked me to be his valentine's date this Friday?" Liz said, her voice filled with excitement. We sat at the beaches in the cafeteria with our food on the table. Valentine's day is this Friday? Damn, I don't even have a valentine. But I don't care anyways. I will just stay in my room and read my novels-
Wait, did she say Harry asked her to be his valentine's date?
"Wait, before I jump into conclusions, which Harry are you talking about?" I questioned, taking a sip from my strawberry milkshake waiting for her to answer. "Harry Rutherford."
"Harry Rutherford asin like, Harry Rutherford?" I questioned.
"Yes."
My heart skipped a beat. No way Harry asked Lizzy to be his valentine. Harry is not that type of guy that goes around asking any girl on a date. If it was me I would have understood but Lizzy? Not that I'm jealous or anything but if Harry were to choose between Liz and I it would be me because I understand him better than any girl does.
But who am I to judge? I have no right to be jealous over my friend and these thoughts are roaming rent free. Besides, I have Kieran and I love him more than anything else.
"Hello, earth to Daisy. Girl, you zoned out the moment I said Harry Rutherford asked me out. I was just kidding, a guy like Harry wouldn't ask me on a date. He's more of a Daisy type." She winked at me and I playfully hit thigh. Well that's true, he wouldn't ask a girl like you out.
"Clyde is the one who asked me out, he was like. " Liz paused and stood trying to imitate how this Clyde guy asked him out. I watch as Lizzy imitates the boy's walk. She struts across the room, trying to look cool and confident like him. She swings her arms and moves her hips, but it looks a bit awkward.
As she approaches me, she tries to mimic his charming smile. She curls up the corners of her mouth and shows off her teeth, but it looks more like a goofy grin than a suave smile.
She clears her throat and tries to deepen her voice, saying "Hey, what's up?" in a pretend-deep tone. It's a pretty bad imitation, but it's also kind of cute.
I try not to laugh, but it's hard not to. Lizzy looks at me with a hopeful expression, like she's waiting for me to be impressed. I smile and nod, trying to play along. "Wow, you must have blushed at that moment, weren't you? " I tease her.
