Hi, I'm Jason. I'm an introverted, shy and most of the time an awkward slug, but whatever, that's just who I am. I'm not a big conversational person. You can try to talk with me, but I'm definitely not the one to start the conversation. Hey, maybe if you peak my interests, I'll talk to you. If you're boring though, you can kindly stop talking to me.

Yeah, I live my boring life secluded from everyone, it's okay. Sometimes I wish we had a neighbor or something. The idea of living in a secluded cabin in the middle of nowhere was my dads idea. He thought it would bring us together as a family, and honestly...it did the opposite.

Christmas is in a few days, and to say the least we aren't in the most 'holly-jolliest' of moods. The idea of living together in a secluded cabin was a plan that backfired severely.

Ah, I forgot to mention that my parents had just split up. They had been married for a bit, then they decided to split. It was for the better though, there was always some form of tension between the two. Firstly, my mom decided not to change her last name, this wasn't a bad decision on her part, but it certainly made my dad feel off. Secondly, when I was born I was given the name Jason Christopher Moore. Yes, Christopher was the bargain I guess. If I got the last name Moore, then it would only be fair for my middle name to be something related to my dad. While my dad was trying to find a new home my mom let him live with us, and well that didn't work out very well...

Then it happened. The argument started small, just a simple disagreement, then my dad pulled his usual and escalated the situation further than it ever needed to go. "You always side with your mom, you little shit!" he would yell, I feel I was the reason they would fight, but I don't want to blame myself for that. He was just jealous that I loved my mom more than him.

The argument had escalated to a full out fight. A physical fight. When my dad began throwing things towards my mom, I knew I needed to step in. "I want my son! Stop being such a little shit!" he yelled. "Look at yourself, this is how you've always treated us Chris! Your dumbass thought it'd be great to live in the middle of nowhere! I've always told you it was gonna backfire, didn't I?" my mom yelled, dodging a mystery object. "Get out!" My mom yelled as she lunged towards my dad. They began rolling around on the floor, knocking into shelves, glass breaking, alcoholic glasses shattered, filling the room with the smell of alcohol. "You're fucking drunk, Chris! I can't take this anymore!" My mom yelled with defeat, landing one final punch causing my dad to forfeit. "Okay...okay...I'm leaving!" my dad said as he grabbed his coat and slammed the front door.

At some point during the fight I had gotten caught in the crossfire, a small cut lined my forehead, luckily my hair covered it though. Me and my mom sat down in the middle of the living room and looked around at the warzone that had been created. Coffee tables knocked over, shattered glass laid across the floor.

My dad hadn't always been a physical fighter. He just had some weird issues with me and my mom. He always felt that we would do stuff together and not invite him, and well...that might have been true in a sense. They had gotten in small fights before, yet never this extreme. We were originally from the city of Bozeman, but living there got too expensive so my dad decided to buy a small cabin that was secluded from everyone. Yeah...that went about as good as you expected it to go. My mom is a very social person, I'm not usually, but everyone really did need at least a bit of social time. My dad thought it would be a smart idea to strip us of all social interaction and live in the middle of nowhere. Well, that backfired didn't it?So yeah, this was one of the first events in my quote on quote "boring life" hey, maybe my life isn't as boring as I thought it was. Really this wasn't something to brag about though. I'm sixteen now, it's my second year of high school, considering the town I live in is small, well that also means that the school is very small. Maybe only 200 kids in the entire high school. That's pretty small compared to everywhere else, I'd say.

I formed a group...well kind of. They're actually all dicks. I hate my friends. We were all fine for the first few months of our friendships then well, we all had an argument and things just slid downhill from there. One of my friends' parents were rich douche bags that thought they owned everything in the world. They were the type of people to walk funny, a lit cigar in their mouth tormenting all of the middle and lower class. It wasn't long before the entire neighborhood knew about their shitty little purchases. "We just bought three yachts! Can you believe that? Where's your yacht? Oh, we forgot you can't even pay off your 2001 Honda Civic. Don't talk to us. We're too rich to hear your poor people problems." Sure, that may be an exaggeration, but it certainly wasn't far off from how they were.

I had finally distanced myself away from them, and well...that was one of the best decisions I had ever made. Sure, sometimes it sucks to be alone, but it was sure nice not having to deal with them. I also forgot to mention that their whole entire sense of humor was built on one thing...sex jokes.

Sure, some of these sex jokes were funny, don't get me wrong I love a good laugh at something so taboo. However, as the jokes progressed they just got worse and worse. Ugh, they were just disgusting. Then they would tell each other things that I never really wanted to hear. So yeah, to say the least, I'm happy to distance myself away from those freaks. As I sat on the living room floor, a warm damp towel pressed against my forehead, there was a knock at the door. "That bitch is already back, I knew he wouldn't last long out there." I thought to myself as the knocking continued.

There was no noise or talking, just continued knocking. "I don't think it's him." I thought to myself as my mom stood up and walked towards the door.

As she opened the door to her surprise it was our landlord.
