Note.ᐟ.ᐟ.ᐟ.ᐟ: Overstepped Boundaries is about a mated, established relationship between a Beta Tim and his pretty little omega. Their roommate, an Alpha, has suddenly started to put moves on his girlfriend—uncomfortably, and unasked—and being territorial. Tim stakes his claim.
18+ (I have to say this), this has sexual content, like seriously.
Kinks or fetishes: Care taking, providing, slick production, scenting, somnophilia, innocence if you squint, unprotected p in v (wrap it or I'll tell your mom).

Tim stood in the kitchen, trying to gather his thoughts, the hum of the refrigerator filling the space as his mind buzzed with frustration.
This wasn't how things were supposed to go. When they first agreed to have a roommate to help with the rent, everything seemed fine. He had a feeling he'd have to make some adjustments, but it didn't seem like it'd be this difficult.
It started out so casually. Just little things. Their roommate—Max—never showed any signs of being overly territorial when he first moved in. They got along fine, and Tim knew he was an Alpha. It wasn't anything strange for an Alpha and a Beta to share space.
But lately... things had started to shift.
Tim would come home after a late night, still half-dazed from a long shift, and he'd catch him lingering a bit too long in the living room when Isabella was there, or in the kitchen when she was making dinner.
Max would always give her space, but it was like he wasn't fully aware of how much closer he was getting—his scent thickening the air, the way his eyes would linger just a little too long.
Every time Tim left for work, it felt like the subtle tension would return. It was as if he forgot, or worse, didn't care.
He glanced at the clock, then over to the door to their living room, where he knew she was sitting, waiting for him to come back. The last thing he wanted was for her to feel uncomfortable in her own home, especially after everything she's been through.
He couldn't help but feel like he was caught between a rock and a hard place. The last thing he wanted was for her to feel isolated or unsafe. And as much as Tim trusted Max when they first moved in together, he could see his behavior changing—becoming a little more possessive and too quick to step into her space, claiming it like it was his.
Tim could already feel the tension building in his chest as he thought about it, but he couldn't avoid it forever. He had to confront the issue head-on.
He knew he couldn't just go back to pretending everything was fine, not when he could feel how her anxiety shifted whenever Max was too close, how she'd stiffen up or give him those pleading glances when he was away.
Tim sighed, rubbing his temples. No matter how tired he was, he needed to be the one to take care of this, to fix it before it got worse. His role as a Beta wasn't to enforce dominance or intimidation like an Alpha might, but it was to keep things balanced. And right now, things were far from balanced.
He had to find a way to make this right. For her, and for them.
She figured Max would've left her alone with Tim in the apartment, a room away from her. But he was like a persistent animal, stalking and laying with a tension in his body that's grown over the past few weeks.
It was like he was waiting for her to move wrong.
She got up from the couch to leave the living room into the kitchen but froze in her spot when she heard a rumbled growl leave Max—noises like that never occurred with Tim, he'd never growled at her, or around her. But the noise leaving Max was a threat in itself.
