Two Years Later.....

There was something truly special about the way my children bonded with my family. The moment we reached Nanu's house, Avyan and Siddhika were no less than royalty, at least, that's how my father treated them. Nanu was their favorite person.

Not because he spoiled them with gifts, but because he treated them like his little kings and queens. Every single day, he would make them sit on his weak shoulders, carrying them around the house while they giggled in delight.

"Higher, Nanu! High like plane!" Avyan would squeal, flapping his arms. Siddhika, on the other hand, would grip his hair tightly and say, "Don't drop me, Nanu! Me small!"

And, as always, my father would laugh heartily, never failing to fulfill their demands. Rajshree Amma adored them just as much. She would spend hours telling them stories, feeding them their favorite dishes, and teaching them little things about our culture. She had a way of keeping them calm and patient, something even I struggled with sometimes.

And then there was Jiya and Tanishk.
Jiya, being the doting aunt she was, spoiled them endlessly. Be it chocolates, new toys, or letting them get away with mischief, she was their ultimate savior whenever I scolded them.

Tanishk, on the other hand, was like an elder buddy to Avyan. They were inseparable during the vacation, always running around, playing with toy cars, and making secret plans together. Tanishk treated him like a little partner-in-crime, and in return, Avyan worshipped him like a hero.

"Uncle, me also big boy!" Avyan would declare proudly, puffing his chest.

"Of course, Avyan! You're my team partner!" Tanishk would grin.  And just like that, they would rush off into another adventure, leaving everyone else shaking their heads fondly. Even Siddhika, who usually stuck to me like glue, found herself attached to Tanishk. She would follow him around with her tiny steps, trying to do everything he did.

"Me also run!" she would say determinedly, only to stumble right after. But instead of laughing, Tanishk would always pick her up and hold her hand, making sure she never felt left out. Watching them all together, I realized something, no matter how much time passed, no matter where life took us, my children would always have a family who loved them deeply.

Present:

At Night,

The night breeze was gentle, carrying the soft fragrance of jasmine from the garden. I stood on my balcony, watching the scene below with a fond smile.
