||Role||
Emperor of Rasilika

||Name||
Arawn Adrastus Eros

~Arawn~
Arawn means 'king of the otherworld', and how apt that name is. As Emperor of the fae kingdom, he is truly everything that comes to mind when one says the word 'otherworldly'. The fae are, in his not-so-humble opinion, the superior species on the continent due to their poise, grace, and general decorum that he believes the others lack. He's always quite liked his name.

~Adrastus~
Arawn's middle name was gifted to him by his mother, a gifted fae who had seer-like properties. She foresaw he would be the greatest of his line, unstoppable, inescapable, which happens to be what his middle name means. Inescapable. Let the fates try and defy him, see where that gets them.

~Eros~
Strong. His family name for generations, a symbol of strength and power to anyone who hears it.

||Powers/Abilities||
Arawn has a variety of powers, passed down from his parents and grandparents and ancestors before him, and some that are unique only to him.

~Fire and Air Control~
Arawn has always found these powers to be the ones that came most naturally to him. Since he was a boy, he's been able to conjure fire with a single flick of the wrist, the wind has spun across the world at his command. It's almost like second nature, an instinct buried so deep in his genes he doubts it will ever be stamped out. He can create and control fire, and the same with air.

~Illusion Control and Creation~
Arawn is able to conjure illusions, and this is his most useful power. He has used it to trick enemies, sow doubt, create alibis. Not that he really needs alibis anymore, not now that he's Emperor. He is able to create realistic looking avatars or objects that only fall apart when you try and touch them.

~Teleporting~
He is able to transport himself anywhere he can picture, whether that be somewhere he has previously been or somewhere he has been shown a picture of. Sometimes, if a place is described to him in detail, he may be able to end up there. Or he may end up somewhere very random, so that one is a bit of a hit or miss.

||Personality||
Arawn is a man of simple pleasures. He enjoys the deep taste of wine in the evening, the feel of silk in his skin and a woman in his bed. But the thing he enjoys most is being obeyed. Revered. He certainly has a god complex baked into him somewhere because he will stop at nothing to be considered the most powerful, the most dangerous, the most important. He wishes to be the greatest that ever was or will be, and he is willing to do anything to get it. Kíll, injure, threaten. Lie, cheat steal. Torture. If there is a way to do it, he's willing to try, no matter what stand in his way. Or who stands in his way. He does not form shallow attachments, and to truly be considered important to him one has to have either known him for a very long time or prove that they can be trusted. He doesn't have any mercy for those who are stupid enough to go against him.
He finds certain emotions dulled due to the curse bestowed upon him, and now searches for distractions wherever he can find them. Anything to feel something other than banal irritation. He used to feel anger, and happiness, and regret. He used to have a soul, he believed. He cared. If not for everyone then at least for a few. Now, his attachments are built on memories rather than genuine feelings. He has a feeling that when his powers finally run dry, when he's finally human, he won't be able to feel anything at all. Maybe that's a blessing in disguise. Arawn doesn't have much (any) patience, and can be very dismissive of those who don't conform to his desires. He is quite a stoic and commanding man, with certainly no room for dissent.

||Background||
Imagine this: triplets, identical in features yet as diverse in personality as the continent of Erad. The eldest, Astyx, as bright as the most intelligent scholars with a passion for strategy and puzzles. The youngest, Adriel, as strong as the fiercest warriors and twice as brutal. And finally, the middle, Arawn. Unassuming, and yet a force of nature when challenged. These were the three children of the Emperor and Empress of Rasilika, the Three Terrors. As they grew, their reputations only grew with them. Astyx became more cunning, Adriel more cruel, and Arawn... well, his reputation became cloudier. Some thought him a saviour among sinners, others predicted he was the worst monster among them.
The truth was, to say the least, a little more complicated. You see, whilst his brothers were fighting wars and power struggles, Arawn was a little more focussed on the cult he'd accidentally started, worshipping a good he'd made up when he was drunk and controlling his growing group of slightly ego-maniacal devotees. Whoops? Anyway, once he'd dismantled his accidental cult and returned to the palace, things had become tricky.
His eldest brother had been taken ill, fatally wounded by a Lazarus attack. He died not long after. In angry vengeance, Adriel started a counter attack which wounded many and killed more, including himself. Suddenly, Arawn was left as the sole heir to Rasilika, with his parents opposing his lineage. They didn't want him ruling. They didn't trust him, his laziness and his foolishness.
But Arawn had not been spending his lost years simply lounging around. He'd been building a network. Unintentionally, yes, but eventually it had its uses. When his parents tried to disown him, he rose up and cut them down, leaving him the last surviving Eros.
Something didn't like that though, some spirit or creature or power beyond his understanding, and overnight he was cursed. Cursed to not feel pain.
At first, it was a blessing. No pain! No limits! Life was but a toy for him to play with. But he quickly learnt that lack of pain wasn't all it was cracked up to be. He'd get cuts and bruises with no idea of where he'd got them, bones would crack inside of him with no one noticing until they were almost irreparable, he'd lose track of his body temperature and almost freeze. But perhaps the most significant affliction was the one that couldn't be seen, the one that crept along his body and vessels unknown and under the radar, until a talented court physician noticed his trouble with summoning a simple illusion.
This affliction was eating his magic. Wringing him dry. And once its is done, he'll be human. He'll be nothing.
His last hope is this meeting, perhaps there will be a cure awaiting him among the spies and the monsters.

||Other||
