Marisol cursed as she rummaged through her purse.

"Hey! Hurry up, lady. We all got places to be!"

She stopped and turned behind her place in the convenience store line. Her eyes slowly moved up to the meet the man she had not realized was of tall stature. Rashly, she moved dangerously close to his face. "Listen, asshole. I will take all the time I need. If you have a problem with that go find another line to stand in."

The man scoffed. He leaned down to level himself, "Excuse me?"

"I'm sorry? How could you not have heard me through those ginormous fucking ears?"

Before he could respond, Mari turned back around with a roll of her eyes. She took a swift step towards the counter and lowered her voice, "Listen, Tino. You know I'm good for it but I lost my card. Joey will kill me if I come home without her Trollis."

The man behind the counter winced, "I want too, Mari. Really, but it wouldn't be fair to everyone else—"

"Hey. Bitch!"

The sound of the man behind her again made Marisol wince. Tino's expression changed. He reached out as if to calm the woman in front of him, but it was too late. The Moore woman turned on her heel, simultaneously launching her hand out.

As soon as her fist connected with the man's face, he fell against the ground. She watched indifferently as he grumbled in pain. She slowly rubbed her knuckles with her fingers while lowering herself to the ground. Marisol didn't wince as she reached into the man's pocket and pulled out a $5 bill.

"Well, that wasn't very nice." Another voice said from above the two mangled adults. Marisol slowly looked up to meet the eyes of the largely built man in line behind them. It looked as if she had punched him in the face from what looked like a bruise across his upper eye. He froze as her eyes locked onto his, "No, not you. I meant the guy."
