The camp was alive with activity, a bustling hive of preparation and anticipation. Senku's stone-age cellphone sat on the workbench, its wires neatly coiled and its casing reinforced with everything the Kingdom of Science could muster. By morning, it would be delivered to Taiju and Yuzuriha, the two spies embedded deep within Tsukasa's Empire. This invention was their lifeline—a tool to bridge the gap between the Kingdom of Science and the enemy's ranks.
But there was one problem. Homura.
The lithe, sharp-eyed gymnast seemed to haunt the perimeter of their territory, a shadow that refused to fade. Even when she couldn't be seen, her presence was palpable. She was the wind—swift, quiet, and impossible to catch.
Senku leaned over the workbench, his sharp eyes scanning the camp. "Homura's not going to make this easy. She's too fast and too smart. If she spots us delivering the phone, it's one billion percent game over."
Gen twirled a strand of his hair dramatically. "And it's not like we can just politely ask her to leave, right? 'Oh, Homura-chan, could you stop spying for five minutes? It's terribly inconvenient.'"
Chrome frowned, scratching his head. "We could try building something to block her path. A barricade, maybe?"
"Won't work," Kinro interjected, crossing his arms. "She'd climb over it before we even noticed."
Magma grunted, his arms flexing. "What if we just fight her head-on? She can't be that tough."
"She doesn't need to be strong," Senku replied flatly. "She's clever. She'll dodge, retreat, and disappear before you can lay a finger on her. Then she'll report back to Tsukasa, and we'll all be screwed."
The group fell into silence, the weight of the problem sinking in. Then Senku's sharp gaze shifted to you, a smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth.
"We make her move."
"You're suggesting a distraction," you said, meeting his gaze.
"Exactly," Senku replied, his tone laced with excitement. "If we create a disturbance big enough, she'll have no choice but to investigate."
Gen tilted his head thoughtfully. "A distraction, you say? Something dramatic and irresistible... Oh, I do love the sound of this."
Chrome furrowed his brow. "But what kind of distraction would actually work on someone like Homura?"
"A sonic bomb," you said after a moment, the idea forming in your mind. "We can use a deer bladder to contain the gas. It's elastic enough to hold the pressure, and when it bursts, the noise will be impossible to ignore."
The group stared at you, their expressions a mix of curiosity and disbelief.
"A deer bladder?" Ginro asked, his face twisting in disgust. "That's so gross..."
Gen's eyes sparkled with delight. "Oh, (Y/N)-chan, you're full of surprises!"
Senku grinned, leaning back. "A sonic bomb, huh? I like it. Simple, effective, and guaranteed to get her attention. Let's get to work."
~~~
The hours blurred as the team sprang into action. Senku worked on the chemistry, carefully mixing components to create the detonating gas. Meanwhile, you prepared the deer bladder, your hands steady and precise.
"You seem to know what you're doing," Chrome observed as he watched you stretch the material.
"I studied animal biology," you replied with a faint smile. "Deer bladders are surprisingly durable. In the wild, they're used for all kinds of things—water storage, mostly. But in this case..." You sealed the bladder with practiced hands. "They'll be perfect for holding gas."
