The school day had come to an end, which didn't help Peyton, Scott, Stiles, and Allison in the slightest. They were all still concerned about what to do with Lydia that didn't seem suspicious. But all they could come up with was an after school study session. To the Burns girl's surprise, Lydia agreed to join them despite the confused look in her eyes. Peyton didn't blame her for her uncertainty. After all, Allison rarely hung out with Stiles when Scott wasn't around. But at least getting Lydia to go with them was easier than any of them thought.
That was the reason Peyton found herself in the library with Stiles, Alison, Lydia, and Jackson, who appeared out of nowhere and forced his way into their plans. About an hour of them hiding in the library passed when the witch's magic informed her of two werewolves heading toward them. A wave of fear washed over her as she looked over at the boy sitting next to her.
"Stiles," Peyton whispered, drawing the boy's attention to her before she continued speaking, "you need to go. Now. They're almost here. I'll stay here and hold them off. If I'm not in your Jeep in five minutes, leave."
Stiles just stared at her for a moment, as if contemplating whether it was a good idea to leave her behind. After sensing the werewolves getting closer to the library, Peyton nodded toward the exit on the other side of the room. It wasn't long after that when the Stilinski boy let out a long sigh before he forced everyone to their feet and out of the library as fast as possible. As soon as the four of them were gone, another student took their places at the table. Confusion flowed through Peyton's veins as she stared at Matt, someone she had never talked to before in her life. It wasn't long after that before he sighed and turned his camera to her.
"Any reason why I only get lens flare on pictures with you and McCall?" the blonde boy questioned. The confusion within the witch did nothing but grow as she looked down at the camera screen, only to find a picture of her and Scott with bright lights covering their faces.
"Uh, well, we both wear the same contacts. That could be it," the witch responded, earning an unconvinced look from Matt right as Isaac and Erica walked through the door. Not even a second after that passed when their eyes landed on Peyton before they began walking toward her. "I gotta go. I'll see you later."
Before Matt had a chance to respond, the Burns girl sprinted out of the library. A million thoughts went through her head as she raced through the halls and weaved through passing students. What felt like an eternity passed when she finally saw the exit of the school, causing her to pick up her pace. However, Peyton barely made it halfway to the doors when someone grabbed the back of her shirt and slammed her into the lockers. After gathering her bearings, the witch slowly looked up to meet Isaac's gaze.
