As the car rolled to a stop in front of the Rathore Ltd Corporation Headquarters, I stared up at the three towering buildings that screamed power. It was sleek, modern, and intimidating- just like a certain khadoos husband of mine.

The driver opened the door for me, and I stepped out, adjusting the tiffin bag in my hands.

The moment I entered the lobby, a wave of dead silence hit me.

All eyes turned toward me.

Whispers erupted almost instantly.

"Oh my God, isn't that-"
"That's Saanvi Kapoor! No, wait... Rathore now?"
"She's THE trending topic on social media!"
"Boss's wife?! She actually came here?!"
"Oh damn, does Sir even know about this?"

I bit the inside of my cheek to stop myself from laughing. It was like I had walked into a gossip battlefield.

The receptionist, a well-dressed woman, quickly composed herself and gave me a professional yet hesitant smile.

"Ma'am, how can I help you?"

"I'm here to see my husband-" I paused for dramatic effect, "Devraj Singh Rathore."

If the room wasn't already silent, it definitely was now.

Even the security guards at the entrance looked like they had momentarily forgotten their job.

The receptionist fumbled with the phone before quickly making a call. Within seconds, a man in a crisp black suit approached me.

"Mrs. Rathore," he greeted, his expression unreadable. "I am Mihir Yadav, Devraj Sir's secretary."

I scanned him up and down. Straight posture, sharp gaze, serious face... but hey, at least he smiled.

Unlike his boss, who probably didn't even know what smiling meant.

"Nice to meet you, Mihir," I said, shifting the bag in my hands. "Lead the way."

"Of course, ma'am. This way."

He guided me toward a private elevator, pressing the button for the 15th floor.

Inside the Elevator

As soon as the doors closed, I turned to Mihir, smirking.

"So, Mihir, tell me..." I crossed my arms. "What's it like working for The Great Almighty Rathore?"

Mihir paused for a moment before replying in a very carefully chosen tone, "Challenging, ma'am."

I raised an eyebrow. "Challenging?"
