Lucy's pov:

Today is the day, the day of the sergeant exam. I'm so nervous, even though I really did study good. And I took a lot more breaks between the studying, then when I studied for the detective exam. And it did me well, I also listened to myself made audiobook I made for Tim. It helped a lot. I also took Tim's advice, take more breaks, give yourself time don't rush, and mostly sleep you can't study well if you're tired. And other tips he said from experience for the exam itself. I'm just overreading everything one last time, and then I will leave. Almost no one knows about me taking the sergeant exam. Only Tim and Grey of course, they helped me, and I appreciate it. I'm heading out, when I overlooked everything. And then I drive to the place where the oral exam would be taken. The write exam did go very well yesterday, I filled in everything, and I think I will get a good score on that. Hopefully no one hates me at the oral exam like last time. I mean I don't want to experience it all over again. When I arrive, I go inside and see I'm one of the first ones. I go to the front desk and say my full name "Hello, I'm Lucy Chen. I'm here to take the sergeant exam" "You can wait there" she points to the waiting room "Okay, thank you" I say and go sit on a chair. I put in one air pod and start listening to the audiobook. I listen 30 minutes and then I hear someone shouting my name "Lucy Chen? You can follow me" I stand up and follow the blond woman. "You can wait here, when the door opens, you can walk in" I nod and wait. After 1 or 2 minutes I hear the door opening "You can come in Lucy Chen" A man says. I walk in the room and says my name "Hello, I'm Lucy Chen" "Okay, let's skip the intro and get into the exam. Okay?" He says "That's fine" I say. And we immediately start, after 10 minutes I'm done. It was pretty well, I think I scored pretty good. Now I need to wait 1 or 2 days. I leave the building and get in my car. I go home, so I can get changed in a comfier outfit, and then I leave again but I drive to work now. I arrive a bit before lunch, so I first get dressed and then go to Grey to tell how it went. I walk toward his office. "And, how did it go?" He asks "It did go pretty well. Better than the detective exam, I think. But thanks to you and Tim. And myself from when I was a rookie" I say "What does your rookie time has to do with this." He asks. "When I was a rookie and Tim wanted to take the sergeant exam? He asked me to read the book out loud in the shop. So, I remembered a bit. And I recorded that book as an audiobook for Tim because I found out he can learn better if he is active and hears it then. And I used that audiobook" I say. "Smart. So, he became sergeant a bit because you helped him?" He asks. "Yeah, now you say it. Actually" I say, and we laugh. I leave his office, put the war bags in the shop and leave to the foodtrucks. "Hey Lucy" Yells Tim I walk towards them and say "Hey" I sit with them "Did everyone already ordered food?" I ask. "Yes, we did" Angela says. "Okay, I'll go get some food for me. Il be right back" I say and go to the foodtrucks. I wait in the line and then order a vegie burger with extra pickles. I'm really craving that today. After 5 minutes I get my vegie burger and walk to the picnic table. After 30 minutes the lunch is over, and I head to my shop. We say goodbye to eachother and then we'll leave. The day went by fast, I didn't get any hard calls. Just some domestic violence and some vandalism with teenagers. I arrived at the station, and delivered my war bags back to the people behind that desk. "Chen, can you come for a minute?" Grey asks when I walk past his office. I walk in his office. "I already got the test result of the sergeant exam" he said. "That's fast. They said it would take 1-2 days." "Yes, there were less people than they expected so it was easier to rank them" Grey says. "Do you wanna know if you passed?" He asks "Do I want to know? Like last time I ended almost last" I ask "Yes you want to know. You got..." "You got first!" He says. I look in disbelief to him. "No that's a joke" I say. "It's not you're first! And there is already an open spot. Do you want to know where?" He says "Yes please" I beg. "Here, you can be a sergeant with Tim. Because I just became lieutenant. But I want to ask if it will work out. With your history with Tim?" He says. "Oh my- you're serious I can start here? And when" "You can start tomorrow, and I have a plan to tell the world. But now answer my last question" He says "Yes of course. It will work out, you don't need to worry" I say. "Okay, let me say the plan. So, we can confuse everyone." Grey says and start explaining the plan. "That's a good plan" I say. "And... Here is you're new badge!" He says. "Thank you, it really made my day" I say with a smile. "Of course it made you're day. You don't need to doubt yourself. You're amazing" he says. I immediately go to him and hug him. "Thank you" I say. We end our hug and say goodbye. I go to my car and leave, I ride to my apartment. It is very hard to not text anyone about it, I need to wait till tomorrow. That is too long, I can't wait so long. When I arrive home, I just make some spaghetti. I eat, take a shower and then I go to my bed. I'm gonna sleep very well tonight. And then I fall asleep.
