Hikaru perspective:

The first week at AC Milan's U-20 squad had been an odd mix of challenge and ease. Hard to explain, but if you knew, you just knew. The intensity of the training sessions was undeniable, but the chemistry building between teammates felt natural. I found myself growing close to guys like Enrico and Luca. Enrico, the playful striker with a flair for the dramatic, kept the team's mood light with his antics. Luca, on the other hand, was sharp, calculated, and intense. Being around them felt like I'd known them for years, even though it had only been a week.

That day, however, something unexpected happened.

The coach Zanetti blew his whistle, calling us all to gather. His calm, stoic demeanor was something we'd all grown used to. No unnecessary words, no wasted energy — only the essentials.

"Two more players will be joining us from Japan today," he announced. His voice was steady but commanding, each word clear as a bell.

A murmur of intrigue spread through the squad as we all turned to face the entrance to the field. Out of the shadows of the tunnel, two familiar figures emerged.

My eyes widened.

Raito... Shion?!

Raito Takahashi — loud, brash, and unshakable. The guy played with the heart of a lion and the ego of a king. The kind of center-back who'd bark orders at teammates and glare at strikers like he was daring them to try him. His wild grin was the same as ever.

Shion Yamada — quiet, calculated, and sharp as a razor. A versatile fullback who could flip between attacking and defending like a switchblade. His calm aura often made him seem distant, but those who knew him knew better.

The three of us stood there, staring at each other for a second, processing it all.

"Holy shit..." Shion muttered, eyes scanning me up and down like he couldn't believe I was actually here.

"Hah! Yer came here before us, aye?" Raito snorted, slinging his arm around my shoulder. "Don't think you're special now, rookie."

I smirked, glancing at him from the corner of my eye. "Wouldn't think less."

The air felt lighter, but it didn't last long.

The coach approached us, his stoic expression unchanged. His eyes shifted between the three of us. "I see you're already familiar with each other. Good." His gaze was sharp, like he could see right through us. "You'll be working together today. This is our first group of three."

He turned without another word, walking back toward the other players. Raito scratched the back of his head, glancing at me.

"Guess fate's on our side, huh?" he grinned.

"Don't slow me down, Raito," Shion replied, brushing past him with his hands in his pockets.

"Tch, I'll show you who's slowing who down," Raito shot back, his grin growing wider.

I stayed quiet but smiled to myself. This was going to be fun.

We circled up with the rest of the team. Our coach, along with the training coach, stood at the center.

"This is a group-building exercise," the coach announced, his eyes scanning the players. "Each group will take turns demonstrating their signature stretches. Learn from each other. No player is complete on their own."

Groups of three spread out into smaller circles, each trio working on their own.

"I'll start," I said, stepping forward. I bent down, placed one hand on the ground, and shifted my weight into a one-handed handstand. My body balanced perfectly as I lifted my legs into a controlled stance.
