Paul Lahote x reader x Quil Ateara

I wake up bright and early to get ready for the day, I rush to the bathroom before Bella and do my morning routine. I brush my teeth and hair, wash my face, put on cream and run back to my room.

After I get dressed I run down the stairs to catch my father.

"Good morning sweetheart" he kisses my head.

"Good morning daddy" I smile big and sweetly.

"What do you want?" He looks at me suspiciously.

"What? What do you mean?" I act innocent.

"You only call me daddy when you want something.. you're trying to butter me up!"

"I wanted to pitch you something" I laugh.

"Alright let's hear it" he sits down and I sit across from him.

"I'm the top student of my class.. straight A's all year long, haven't handed anything in late, all my teachers think I'm excellent.. and very smart"

"Okay.. what's the punchline?"

"I want to graduate early" I said quickly.

"Early? What do you mean?"

"I would like your permission to go to school and ask if I can take a test or something to graduate with Bella's class"

"Now why would you wanna go and do that? Why are you rushing?"

"Because I'm ahead of my class, and I'd like a head start on life.."

"For what?" He sigh and shakes his head.

"There's a veterinary program in Port Angeles and it's starts this fall I'd like to be there and they promise 3 bright students a job"

"Veterinarian? That's what you want to do?"

"Yes.. I love animals, I have a sixth sense for these things"

"That is true" He nods and thinks. "And you're sure this is what you want?"

"Yeah, this is a head start for my future" I reassure him. "And it's what I think fits best"

"Alright, sounds good.. what do you need from me?"

"For now nothing, Paul should be here any minute he's taking me to the high school then to Port Angeles and... he has to talk to you"

"To me?" His eyes widen. "This should be interesting"

I let out a shy smile as my dad keeps his gaze on me. He sips his coffee and I get a text from Paul, I walk over to the door and open it for him.

"Hi" his eyes light up, he leans down and kisses my cheek.

"Good morning" I blush and nod towards the kitchen, he smiles and walks over I follow behind.

"Good morning Paul" My dad stands and shakes his hand.

"Good morning Charlie" Paul smiles.

"What brings you to this neck of the woods" Dad says acting like I didn't just tell him.

"Y/n could I speaks with your dad alone?" Paul looks over at me.

"Oh.. uh yeah I'll go get my purse" I furrow my eyebrows and go up the stairs.

I debate whether to stay by the stairs or not but Paul would hear me, I opt for going all the way up the stairs and leave my door open to hopefully hear.

"Take a seat" I hear my dad.

"Thank you" Paul says. "I just want to start off by saying I'm very grateful for everything you've done for me"

"Don't even mention it, you're a good young man"

"Thank you very much" there's a long pause. "You have a wonderful daughter, a daughter that I've grown to love very deeply, and I was hoping it'd be okay that's Y/n and I are dating"

Bella comes out of her room and looks over at me.

"Is that Paul I hear" She says.

"Shhh I can't hear" I pull her in and cover her mouth.

"I appreciate that Charlie" Paul laughs.

"Ugh I missed it" I look over at Bella.

"What's happening?"

"Paul and I are dating" I blush.

"Finally" she rolls her eyes and walks out to the bathroom.

I shake my head and grab my purse and go downstairs.

"Im very happy for the both of you" my dad says as I enter the kitchen. "Just remember that respect, communication and trust is the key to a healthy relationship"

"Thank you dad" I smile as Paul steps behind me.

"About time" He laughs. "No offense but I told y/n that the Quil boy wasn't the one for her"

"Dad" I say when Paul starts to laugh.

"What? I'm serious.. he never came over to watch a game or dinner.. what kind of man is that" He joins in and laughs with Paul.

"It's okay Charlie.. that's why you got me" they fist bump and I shake my head.

"Alright you two, I have to go" I walk out.
