Title: The Story of How I Was Forced to Swear Never to Get Involved in Ko Kyung-jun's Life Again, Losing My Family, Loved Ones, and Future

(12/?)

___

“Kyung-jun’s father helped me so much…  Back then, at the end of my third year of high school, I felt so lucky when his father reached out to me first. From renting a place and arranging temporary living expenses to handling paperwork… everything that required a guarantor, Kyung-jun’s father took care of it on behalf of my parents.”

“…Dad just told me, ‘It’s all settled,’ without revealing any other details.”

“That was because I asked him to. I told Kyung-jun’s father not to let you know where I’d be living or what I’d be doing. I wanted to live a life completely separate from you, relying only on my own will.”

The more we talked, the more I felt the distance between us shrinking, as if an invisible wall was slowly disappearing.

“…I came to find you of my own will. Because I wanted to see you, I came.”

“…Eun-kang—ssi said it, didn’t he? ‘Kyung-jun is ridiculously hung up on his past relationship', 'If she's caught, he'll never let her go.'"

“Yeah, that’s right.”

“What else was there?”

"'His obsession is five times that of a normal person!' I get that a lot.”

“Wow, that’s terrifying.”

I giggled and asked him to grab my bag. From inside, I pulled out a small basketball-shaped keychain.

“For the past seven years, I’ve always thought to myself: I don’t want Kyung-jun to forget me.”

“…”

“So, as a reward for those seven years of effort, this is for you.”

I placed it in the palm of his hand.

“I remember you gave me one like this before. I lost it for some reason… I’m sorry.”

As I spoke, I pressed my cheek against his hand, nuzzling it gently like I was being clingy. The way I acted was so cute that I could hear him swallow hard.

“Just for now, I want Ko Kyung-jun to think only of me.”

Something inside me felt like it snapped.

Keeping my cheek pressed against his hand, I pulled him closer and pressed my lips to his. His habit of parting his lips slightly when startled hadn’t changed.

I slipped my tongue in, ignoring his breathing, kissing him roughly as if trying to tear apart the longing I’d held onto for so long. Though surprised, he didn’t push me away—instead, he gripped the hem of my coat. That reaction was so adorable that I wanted to see more, so I didn’t let go of his lips.

“K… Kyung-jun…”

“I can’t wait anymore. I don’t want to leave. Don’t leave me, please. I’ve waited too long for this moment. Stay with me like this, okay?”

Without waiting for her answer, I kissed her again, wrapping my arms around the back of her head to keep her from responding.

I was afraid of hearing her answer.

If, after all this, she still left, I wouldn’t be able to hold myself together anymore.

“Hey… wait… Kyung… jun…”
