The Hogwarts Express moved swiftly over an old stone bridge, its scarlet carriages gleaming under the afternoon sun. White steam rose from the engine, curling into the sky before fading away. Below, a river rushed past, reflecting the golden light.
Inside the train, students chatted and laughed, excited to return to Hogwarts. The trolley witch's cart rattled down the corridor, filled with sweets, while owls hooted from their cages.
In one compartment, four students sat together.
Leo leaned against the window, arms crossed, facing Blair, who looked just as stubborn as he did.
"I'm telling you, a dragon would win against a basilisk," Leo argued.
Blair rolled her eyes. "A basilisk can kill with one look. What's a dragon supposed to do? Burn it after it's already dead?"
Leo huffed. "If the dragon doesn't look at it, it can set the whole place on fire and be done with it."
Blair raised an eyebrow. "And if the basilisk just hides underground and waits?"
The argument went on, neither willing to back down.
Aurora, sitting next to Blair, had already given up on listening. She was curled up against the seat, her head resting lightly against the cushion, fast asleep.
Opposite her, Antares sat in silence, his posture relaxed. His gaze flickered to Aurora, watching her for a moment. His expression, as always, was unreadable.
Then, as if nothing had happened, he looked away, turning his attention to the window.
Outside, the train pressed on, carrying them back to another year at Hogwarts.
Sirius grinning, stretching his arms "Alright, new year, new Hogwarts disaster. What are we betting on? Another three-headed dog? A troll in the dungeons?"
Regulus watching Leo and Blair argue with mild amusement "No need to guess. Apparently, we're starting the year debating whether a Basilisk or a Dragon is the ultimate death sentence."
James glancing at Aurora, peacefully asleep "You know, I'm starting to think my daughter is the smartest one here. avoid the headache."
Bellatrix sipping wine, smirking "Oh, let them go on. It's entertaining. Besides, Antares knows the answer, but look at him—he's just enjoying the show."
Narcissa watching Antares remain completely silent as Blair and Leo argue louder "If he stays quiet long enough, they'll start debating if he is more dangerous than both combined."
