Sunmi was sitting in the classroom, staring blankly at the chalkboard as the teacher droned on. She was lost in thought, thinking about the surprise she had received earlier that morning.

Just then, the door burst open and So-yoon rushed in, looking frazzled. She scanned the room, spotting Sunmi sitting in the back.

"Sunmi, what are you doing here?" So-yoon asked, rushing over to her friend.

Sunmi smiled mischievously. "I got here early. And I have some amazing news to share with you."

So-yoon's eyes widened with curiosity. "What is it?"

Sunmi leaned in, a conspiratorial look on her face. "We got invited to the New Year's party."

So-yoon's eyes went wide. "No way! That's amazing! I've heard that only a select few get invited."

Sunmi nodded, grinning. "I know, right? We're so lucky."

As the teacher continued to drone on, Sunmi and So-yoon chatted excitedly about the party, making plans and speculating about who else might be attending.

Finally, the bell rang, signaling the start of break. Sunmi and So-yoon gathered their things and headed out into the hallway, where they ran into Jimin, Jungkook, and Taehyung.

"Hey, girls," Jimin said, grinning. "What's got you two so excited?"

Sunmi and So-yoon exchanged a look, then burst out laughing. "We got invited to the New Year's party," Sunmi said, barely containing her excitement.

Jungkook's eyes lit up. "No way! We got invited too."

Taehyung chuckled. "Looks like we'll all be attending the same party."

As they stood there, chatting and laughing, So-yoon suddenly spotted Suga walking down the hallway. She let out a squeal of excitement and took off running, weaving through the crowds of students.

"Suga, Suga!" So-yoon shouted, waving her arms wildly. "Guess what? We got invited to the New Year's party!"

Suga's face broke out into a wide smile as he caught So-yoon in a hug. "That's amazing, So-yoon! I'm so happy for you."

As Sunmi watched So-yoon and Suga hug, she couldn't help but feel a pang of longing. Why couldn't Namjoon show her the same affection and care that Suga showed So-yoon? Namjoon always seemed so distant, so uncaring.

Just then, Namjoon walked up to the group, a scowl on his face. "What's all the commotion about?" he asked gruffly.

Sunmi felt a surge of anger at Namjoon's tone. "We're just excited about the New Year's party," she said, trying to keep her voice light.

Namjoon raised an eyebrow. "You're going to the party?"

Sunmi nodded. "Yeah, we got invited."

Namjoon's expression turned skeptical. "I didn't know you were friends with the party organizers."

Sunmi felt a spark of anger ignite within her. "We're not friends with the party organizers," she said, her voice rising. "We just got invited, okay?"

Namjoon's eyes narrowed. "Whatever. Just don't make a scene at the party."

Sunmi's anger boiled over. "I don't need your permission to attend the party," she said, her voice loud and clear. "And I definitely don't need your advice on how to behave."

The hallway fell silent, with all eyes on Sunmi and Namjoon. So-yoon stepped forward, trying to intervene. "Hey, hey, let's not fight."

But Sunmi was beyond reason. She turned and stormed off, leaving Namjoon standing alone in the hallway.
