APPLE JACKS POV

I have finally made up my mind.

No matter what.

No matter the excuse.

I have to break up with her.

Although that will also hurt me a lot.

I have to.

It was Monday and I was getting ready for school, I was thinking about this for a few days.
(I have no idea what day it was unfortunately 😕)

I was getting ready and decided to wear bootcut jeans, boots and a tank top as I wasn't too sure what to wear. Not that it mattered much anyways.

Soon it will be Autumn, roughly a month. Finally, I'm sick of the heat during summer. My least favourite season. Maybe Autumn-Winter-Spring then Summer.

Anyways I got ready, ate and bid goodbye to my family before taking my leave, walking to school alone.

I made my way down the familiar roads and streets. People doing the same. Deep in thought.

Is this really the right choice?

Yeah. It has to be. Even Apple Bloom said so.

Yeah.

Yeah, today I will speak to Rarity. I will go through with it and end it with her. It is what is right.

She can't continue to act how she is, regardless of whatever it is.

I can't continue like this.

Our friends? They don't deserve it either.

I entered the school gate making my way towards Rarity immediately.

"Rarity, we have to talk. Either now, lunch or after school. Yer choice." I spoke, not really looking at her, just, around her or her hair, clothes. Anything but her eyes.

I always hated doing such things, too much pressure but it has to be done.

"About?" She asked simply

"Us. Our friends. Rainbow Dash." I answered, continuing to look around her.

"My goodness, Applejack. You are still going on about this? Get over it, will you? But.... I do have something to tell you. Maybe it will fix us? Let's speak at lunch. The bell will go soon. Let's go now." She stood up, waiting for me

"No. Go on ahead. Ah need to speak to people."

"What? Who?" She seemed a bit irritated but also seemed as if she knew what I was going to say

"Rainbow and our friends. Ah will be off now. We will speak at lunch" I walked off, not waiting for a reply and made my way to the girls.

I approached them now feeling awkward and uneasy as their eyes, one by one, turned towards me as Twilight pointed in my direction and I stared down at my boots.

"Apple Jack?" Twilight asked "Why are you here? What about Rarity?" She wondered, not in a rude way.

"Ah-...." I sighed, taking the hat off my head, staring at the ground "Am sorry. Ah dropped all y'all for her and ah knew it was wrong but ah thought it was right at the time, didn't think too much abou' it. Am sorry for everythin' that's happened recently." I looked up at them. Pinkie, Fluttershy and Twilight.

No Rainbow Dash.

I guess that's a good thing though

"As long as you know what you did and you are correcting yourself, I am not upset with you Apple Jack. I'm glad you are fixing things" Twilight smiled at me and I let out a breath, my shoulders relaxing slightly.

"I forgave you already, silly! It's not you or your fault." Pinkie laughed "You did what you thought was right, it happens. It's okay! I'm happy as long as you know how to fix it and don't blame it on anyone else. Mistakes are ok." Pinkie spoke in a happy tone, completely forgiven

To say I'm glad would be an understatement.

I am so happy to have such understanding friends even if they don't know the full story.

Hell, I don't even know the full story. I wish I did. And I will soon. Very soon. Hopefully.

"I forgive you. As said, you thought you did what was right. Don't expect Rarity to get the same treatment though." Fluttershy simply said starting with a gentle smile and quickly turning into a frown at the end.

"Thank y'all. So, so much. Really. Ah messed up badly and ah wasn't sure if y'all would accept my apology. Now, where's Rainbow? Ah owe her the biggest apology. She deserves that much." I waited for an answer before Twilight smiled, pointing behind me and I, confused, turned around.

"R-Rainbow?" I stuttered like an idiot as she stood there, behind me at a short distance, arms crossed over her chest. Not smiling, not happy. Annoyed. She seemed nothing but annoyed.

"Why are you here?" She asked

"Uh..uhm" I cleared my throat quickly "Ah came to apologise. Ah spoke to them first and they accepted it, ah was surprised but glad. Ah really wanted to apologise to you though. It's unfair how ah was, how ah choose her." I looked away from her burning, annoyed, angry gaze.

I don't even blame her for being so mad, upset. At me.

"Am sor-" she cut me off, angry

"Are you saying this just because she dumped you. You want to dump her. Or did you finally realise how much of a crazy bit-"

"Rainbow!" Twilight and Fluttershy scolded immediately cutting her off and she rolled her eyes, looking back at me. Expecting. Waiting for something.

"Rainbow-"

"Answer me." She snapped and continued to stare at me as if I had just killed her puppy.

"Am sorry... Ah really am."

"That's not answering my question" she spoke quieter, gaze still angry but tone more gentle than expected.

"Don't waste my time and go back to the bitch. I'm going to class to get away from this" she began walking away as we watched her and the bell rang as soon as she entered the building.

"It will take a little bit of time but she will come around trust me" Fluttershy said in an apologetic tone, standing up with Pinkie and Twilight.

"Take your time. Lets go to class" Twilight smiled and began heading towards the school with Fluttershy following. Pinkie Pie still stood beside me.

"Try talking to her after school. Walk home with her or ask to explain yourself to her at least. She doesn't need to forgive you but she should at least here you out. Answer her questions honestly and don't avoid them. That's unfair on her." Pinkie said in a weirdly serious tone, face matching her tone.

I blinked, feeling strange.

"Am very grateful for that advoice but don't ever speak in a serious tone ever again. Am only half joking. Thank ya though. It's just sooo weird to hear, ya know?" I said

"Right, so strange!" Pinkie spoke excitedly and laughed

"But ah will speak to her. Probably right after school. That's if I get to properly speak to Rarily at lunch" we began heading into the school

"What are you planning to do?" She asked

"Am gonna break up with her. Am done with how she's been treatin' me, you guys and especially Dash since she's got here. From what am aware of she has no good reason as to why she's like that"

"Ah. Just don't be too angry or aggressive about it, ok?" Pinkie said, putting her hand on the handle

"Alright'" I nodded as we walked into our first class.

This is gonna be a long, long day. Hopefully with a good outcome. Hopefully.
