Vee's stylist carefully coded mint green pixels above Vee's eyes on her screen. Vee sat there with a cold look on her face, slipping dark green gloves on for the occasion. The crowd in front of the stage was brimming with chattering and excitement, eager for Vee to come out.
A production manager walked by with a clipboard in his hand, yelling to someone in the distance. "Hey! You! Go fetch.. Err.. Scraps, Goob, and umm... Whos this? Shelly! Go get them! Go!" The man waved his hand dismissively before walking away, as Vee blushed a bit. Shelly was gonna be here! But also Scraps... She was a pain. Her stylist stood up, walking away which was usually the signal that she was about to go on stage. Vee stood up from her chair, antennae buzzing, tapping her microphone as she took a second to breath in and out and put on her showhost face. "Whew... Its just another gameshow." Vee sighed before grinning and opening the curtain, to which the crowd roared with cheers and applause.
"Hello and welcome to the best show of your lives! I'm your lovely host, Vee! Here with our contestants! Scraps, Goob, and... Shelly!" Vee sighed dreamily when uttering Shelly's name, but quickly caught herself and adjusted herself, fixing her bow. "Ahem.. Lets begin, shall we?" Vee pulled out the cards with the questions on them as Shelly gave her a warm smile, which didn't go unnoticed by Vee as she winked. "Alright! Question number one! This ones for Goob! When did the first episode of 'Dandys World' air?" Vee asked cunningly, looked up at Goob as he raised a flimsy hand to his chin, tapping it. "Uhm..." He looked up. Scraps looked at him eagerly, Vee could tell she was yearning to tell him the answer. "Um.. 19... 88?" Goob asked curiously, hoping he was right. "Ooh! Soooooo close! It was 1987!" Vee winced ans chuckled a bit, attempting to act sorry before she flipped to the next card while Scraps patted Goob's back.
"Question number two. This ones for Scraps.." Vee grumbled. "Lets see.. What kind of a question-" Vee began quietly. "Ahem! How many err... *lovely* petals does Dandy have?" Vee sighed as Scraps' hand shot into the air like she was in primary school. "Oh! Oh! Its 6! 6?" Scraps exclaimed as Vee pulled out the next card. "Question number three! This ones for.... Shelly!" Vee smiled as Shelly grinned happily. "When was Gardenview constructed?" Vee asked coolly, looking up at her girlfriend, eyes filled with admiration for her. "Hmm..." Shelly pondered, scratching her head. Scraps looked at her, bursting with the urge to tell her the answer!
"Heh.. I dont know.." Shelly chuckled awkwardly. "Hm.. Well, its okay baby-" Vee stopped herself, quickly coughing to cover it up. "Just try your best!" She said in an awkward encouraging tone as Shelly blushed off-screen. "1984!!!!!!" Scraps blurted out, as everyone turned to look at her. "Thats.. The right answer, but it wasn't your turn to guess.." Vee raised an eyebrow, one hand on her hip. "Anyway!" Vee began, trailing off into another question.
'2:08 AM'
Vee's clock read, as she laid on her back. She had just been pacing around her room for a while, replaying the events of today, before she got tired of it. She sighed, getting a bit sleepy before being jolted awake by a violent knock on her door. She groaned, getting up and finding... Dandy? He looked pissed, as he quickly slipped into Vee's room and shut the door to avoid being heard. "What the hell?!" Vee yelled in kind of a whisper, getting the feel that they shouldn't be heard. Dandy's usual smiling demeanor had cracked. He pressed a finger to her chest, leaning in before speaking in a low and cold tone. "I know what's going on with you and Shelly. I have eyes everywhere, and your not exactly secretive." Vee looked taken aback, gripping his hand and forcefully pulling it away. "What's it to you?" She asked rudely, crossing her arms as her antennae twitched unhappily. "I saw your slip-up today. We may not care if your dating, but the audience just might. A word of this gets out to the public, and your lover gets it." Dandy smirked. "Nobody will remember her anyway."
The straw that broke the camels back.
Vee grabbed one of his petals, pulling him down before aggressively pushing him away while letting him go. "Your not intimidating, you little shit. And by the way, if you touch her, I can make you pay in so many ways... Your right about the public not liking this kind of relationship! What would they say about you and Astro..?" Vee said cunningly, checking her nails as she barely batted an eye at Dandy. He grumbled, appearing to be at a stalemate. "Keep your damn mouth shut." He said coldly before leaving the room quickly. Vee's brows were furrowed in anger as she stood at the door, looking away, before her expression shifted to one of concern. She can't go playing around with Shelly's life like that, and now she felt as paranoid about her as a robot could. She sat on her bed, tail smacking on the floor over and over. She was getting really upset thinking about Dandy. His stupid face, his lies, fuck! Before she knew it, her angry tail had hit a hole right in her wall. She brought her microphone up to her, it had appeared to be okay, but the wall wasn't. A good sized hole had formed, drywall still crumbling. "Fuck, fuck, FUCK!" She yelled, stomping around attempting to cool down but really just getting more upset. Her growling was interrupted by a gentle knock on her door. Her fists curled into balls as she walked up to the door, gripping the handle aggressively before opening it to find Shelly.
"V-Vee?" Shelly looked up at her, brows knit into a worried expression, her lower lip trembling as a now trying-to-calm-down Vee towered over her. Vee immediately looked away, ashamed to be seen like this. She pulled her hands up to her screen, hiding her guilty face. "Honey.." Shelly whimpered, a bit intimidated as she put a hand on Vee's back. Vee trembled as Shelly led her to the bed, shutting the door. Shelly sat down on the pillow, motioning for Vee to come toward her. Vee uncovered her anguished face, before slowly getting on the bed and snuggling up to Shelly, suspiciously close to her breasts. Shelly didn't mind this, rubbing Vee's back soothingly as she wrapped her legs around Vee's. "Shhh.. Its okay, honey.. Your okay.." Shelly whispered in a comforting tone, letting Vee explain when she wanted to. Vee sobbed as much as a robot could -think of like, green pixelated tears running down her screen- as she attempted to speak, hiccuping. "I-Im sorry you had to see me like this. That little shit.. He threatened to.." Vee hiccuped again as Shelly listened patiently.
"He threatened to kill you." Vee uttered as Shelly froze. Her soothing rubbing of Vee's back stopped abruptly. "W-Why?" Shelly whispered after a pause, looking off into the distance wide-eyed. "Because the public.. T-They might know about us." Vee explained, sniffling as she wrapped her arms tighter around Shelly's waist. Shelly composed herself, taking a deep inhale before speaking. "Its okay, we can do this." Shelly attempted to comfort her but she barely believed in her own words. "I love you." She said reassuringly, as Vee calmed down a bit. "I love you too.." Vee sighed, a bit relieved that she had her girlfriend with her. Vee lifted her head, repositioning herself to sit in between Shelly's legs, a brave look on her screen. "Besides, I have blackmail on that bitch. That little shit isn't gonna hurt you, baby." Vee said in an attempt to motivate herself and Shelly which kind of worked. Shelly had herself propped up on Vee's pillow, hands resting on her chest as though aimless without Vee's back to caress. "Thank you, Vee. Do you need me in here for the night?" She asked gently, Vee resting her TV on Shelly's chest once more. "Well.. If you want to." Vee replied quietly, basking in the softness of Shelly's skin even through her dino onesie. Shelly giggled a bit as this touch, since she was ticklish. "Okay!" Vee looked up at her with a warm smile. Shelly leaned in, holding the edges of Vee's TV as she kissed her happily. Vee reciprocated, gently pinching Shelly's cheek. Shelly pulled away for a moment, glancing at the clock. "Its a little late.. Lets get some rest." Shelly cooed, lovingly running her hands along Vee's TV till they both fell asleep..
