I woke up at 4 am, and you can probably guess why - I didn't get much sleep. To be honest, I'm not a big fan of sleeping anymore. Every time I close my eyes, her face appears, and I couldn't help but smile. But that happiness is short-lived, as every dream ends with her walking away, her face etched with pain, her eyes filled with hurt and sadness. Those haunting images always linger, refusing to let me rest.

Haunted by those thoughts, I tossed off my covers and headed to the washroom to freshen up. A shower and a change into my gym gear helped shift my focus. I stormed into my home gym, ready to take out my frustrations. As I began my workout, her tear-stained face flashed before my eyes again. My emotions boiled over, and I started pummeling the boxing bag with every ounce of s
trength I had. Each punch was a cathartic release:'I'm an asshole!' Punch.'I don't deserve to live!' Punch.'Why am I still living?' Punch.'Why couldn't I die with her?' Punch. My fists flew wildly, the bag shuddering under the force. Finally, with one last, mighty punch, the sand spilled out of the bag, a testament to my unbridled rage and grief.

I stepped out of the gym and headed for a cold shower to calm my nerves. Quickly shedding my clothes, I turned on the shower, but as the water hit my hand, I hissed in pain. Looking down, I saw blood oozing from my knuckles.I got out of the shower, leaving my wound open. I didn't care about the pain; it was nothing compared to the anguish I'd been carrying inside for five years. Her face flashed before my eyes again, and my heart clenched. But then, what I saw made me shocked to the core .

I saw her standing in front of me

I saw her standing in front of me, smiling. I thought I was dreaming, but I didn't want this dream to end. She approached me, taking my hand in her soft palm, and retrieved the first-aid kit.As she tended to my wound, I couldn't take my eyes off her. She cleaned and dressed my injury, her touch gentle. I winced in pain, my voice cracking, and saw tears well up in her eyes.

"Shh, I'm here " she whispered, applying ointment and wrapping my hand with gauze.

"Take care of yourself, Zain." : As she turned to leave, I panicked.

No, wait! !!

"Don't go!" :  I yelled, but she didn't stop. I screamed again, desperate to hold on to this fleeting moment,

"Nooooo! Don't go!"

I screamed "Nooo, Saarah!" but my voice was cut short as someone shook me back to reality. I blinked, disoriented, and found Adi's worried face inches from mine. His eyes were etched with concern, his brow furrowed in alarm.

"Zain, what's wrong?" he asked, his voice laced with anxiety. 'I heard you yelling and I rushed in. What happened?'I took a deep breath, trying to shake off the vivid dream that had felt so real. Saarah's face still lingered in my mind, but Adi's worried expression brought me back to the present.
