do you think of me as the friend,
that calls you up at 3 a.m.
cause there's mice in my apartment
could I sleep at yours instead?" The Riddle Of The Hollow Tree" got to be my favourite ᵇ𝑜𝑜Ҝ,
i dont care how old i get, im never getting tired of that book.
And its got nothing to do with the story actually, yeah, stupid i know.
but honestly i just like the fact that it reminds me of my childhood.I never was a reader back then, im still not a consistent one yet, there are times when i finish no book in an entire year and then there are times when i just buy 18 books at once cause there was a sale and i thought the title of the book was pretty.
but even so,
this book is just dear to me, i could read it a thousand times, and still not remember the names of the characters. But its a piece of childhood.
Something i associate with sitting in the senior library for the first time and being scared of our librarian. I remember the feeling when i saw my friends giggling at each other because someone said something funny and we couldn't laugh out loud, or the soft afternoon sun of the mountains shine just right through the windows and hit those pastel coffee brown pages with annotations from previous readers. And god did i hate those who wrote on books with pen?I think of the times i discreetly tried to find books read by my favourite senior, because i wanted to know more about them, but never found any. A shame, but atleast it is a fond memory that i tired.
