The Red Thread (or String) of Fate is an East Asian legend that states that two people who are destined to be soulmates are tied together by an invisible red string. The thread can tangle and stretch, but it will never break and will eventually lead...
Love is the thread that binds us all together, connecting us in a web of emotions and experiences. - Red string theory.

The tug went unnoticed by the young Desmond. Emile and Ewen share a knowing glance, and smirk slightly, desperately trying over 8 months to get the two together. "Won't you open that gift, Damian? Or will you keep blushing and grinning like an idiot? The latter, I would presume." Ewen said.
There were a few...exquisite reactions, to say at the least.
Damian blushed even harder, if that was even possible, and blames it on a fake fact that he was extremely angry on the pink head's rude behavior. (Which he wasn't. Actually. Even Ewen and Emile knew that.)
Emile smirked evilly and winked at Ewen, impressed at his straightforwardness and merciless teasing.
Ewen posed quite dramatically, sensing he had managed to stirred something in Damian's head.
Chrisha, who had not actually gone off to the classrooms and was busy eavesdropping on Damian, gasped, going pale white, anger and shock written over her face as she stormed off towards the classrooms, for real this time. ("Great job, Ewen! You managed to stir something into that brat too!" Emile whispered to Ewen, making Ewen pose even harder.)
Becky, who had been running with Anya's peanuts to manage to get to the class, was now being chased herself, and while running towards the classroom buildings, she heard Ewen's line and winked at him, her head already planning a wedding. She kept running, her expression dreamy.
Anya, who did not have a single inclination of what the heck was going on, kept chasing Becky, she hot at her heels, as she followed Becky into the classroom buildings.
...And professor Henry Henderson, who declared detention to each of them, as the final bell, signaling the start of the first period, had gone off 12 minutes ago. (Yes, even Chrisha Vane, for she had been reported by her homeroom professor that she had not arrived to class on time, and was loitering about the empty corridors.)
"Ugh, what a happy way to start a birthday. I can't be happier. " Damian muttered, his voice incoherent and laced with sheer sarcasm under his breath, and only Anya heard him, because she had read his mind.

Later. Becky had greeted Damian a happy birthday, to which he replied, equally coldly. The six students were in the isolated library during their one hour lunch break, Anya going absolutely crazy as a few minutes ago, mainly because when they were heading towards the library, she had heard a group of students who had heard that limited packets of world class chocolate coated peanuts were going to be available that day, in the imperial scholar cafeteria. She ran about the library, her imperial scholar cape fluttering behind her. Luckily enough, for her, the librarian was not present there at the moment. Becky tried to calm down her bestie, Damian completely ignoring while completing his English work (Well, he thinks so, but he was actually listening to her childish complaints and found them quite cute, nevertheless.) but a faint blush tinted his pale cheeks, Chrisha rolling her eyes, her expression full of disgust, towards Anya, tried to flirt with Damian and then thought that she had caused the blush on Desmond's cheeks, and Emile and Ewen secretly planning out Damian's birthday party, which they decided it would take place in the dorms.
