Chapter 14 - Oh, Rayleigh.
"Young master, are you sure it was just an accident? Are you really sure?" Marcelle asked, as persistent as ever.
It was the next school day, and I was trying to get to school while Marcelle was pressuring me about the gash on my arm.
"Yes, I'm sure," I groaned.
"Are you telling the truth?" She narrowed her eyes and grabbed my arm, stopping me from leaving the mansion.
I began to sweat a little but kept up with the lie.
Telling someone was truth is not going to help me.
I assumed Vanessa was already trying to identify the witnesses; which were me, Jadon, and Sky.
The guys who attacked us couldn't tell her our identities because they were trapped in a very secure place. AKA: Jail.
"Yes, I'm telling the truth, Marcelle. So let me go now," I insisted.
Marcelle looked at me and nodded.
"Ok, I guess it should be fine," she sighed in defeat.
But before she left, she turned around and pulled me closer to her.
"But if I find out you're lying, I'm going to whack you over the head and make those bullies pay!" She glares at me. I shuddered.
Why the hell does Marcelle keep threatening me? What the hell did I do to make her hate me? I haven't even met the heroine yet! I thought incredulously.
This time, I couldn't say anything. I simply kept quiet and nodded quickly.
Marcelle then smiled innocently and let go of me, returning to her flowery, glowing aura.
Scary... I thought as I watched her walk away and go back to her chores.
As I walked out of the mansion, I was suddenly stopped by someone.
His hand was gripping my shoulder tightly.
I slowly looked over at the person behind me and saw Warren looking at me with a stoic expression.
"What?" I asked nervously, trying to sound nonchalant.
His face suddenly got closer to mine and he spoke softly but in a rough tone.
"I just want to say you're pathetic for being such a weak, scaredy cat. For God's sake, I can't even believe that idiot Marcelle bought your lies," he told me.
Wait, he knew I was lying?
"Tch. Weaklings like you are incredibly annoying." Warren clicks his tongue.
He then takes something out of his pocket, trying to get something out.
"Here," he hands me an object. My eyes widened as I identified the object.
It was a knife. A fucking knife.
Just why the hell was he handing me such a dangerous object?
"Uh, why are you giving me this?" I asked, trying to make my voice sound calm.
"Just shut up and take it," he says irritably and thrusts the gun at me.
I stared at him stupidly.
Warren starts picking up some other sharp objects from a bag he was holding. He picks up a dagger, a gun and other sharp weapons.
"What? Just why the hell are you giving me this!?" I exclaimed as he tried to hand all those weapons over to me.
