Can I Trust You (Amy Rose) (Remake)

I headed down the path, I was heading to go hang out with Rouge. It has been too long since we hanged out alone together. It was nice spending that day with Cream and that trio of goofs. I almost forgot about Vector's crush on Vanilla while I was not feeling so hurt by Sonic and Sally. I did talk to Vanilla about it all. She told me that the choice is Sonic is mine alone to make and that I also would need to commit to the choice that I will make. Although she doesn't want me to stay with someone who cheated on me, she mainly wants my happiness. I miss talking to her, and I feel so much less alone. I hadn't realized how alone I felt with how I was feeling. At least I have so many friends that I can rely on to help me. I should definitely give Shadow a bigger thanks for his help since he let me sleep in his bed. Maybe I should bake him cookies or maybe even a cake. Maybe something that I have never made him before. I've never made Shadow strawberry cheesecake before. Would he like that?

I made it into the small town near Vanilla's house. I am thirty minutes early, and the cafe where I am eating Rogue is so close to the entrance of the town. Maybe I could look at the shops that are here. There were a few people at the cafe, I looked over at the shops that were currently full of people. They probably have some sort of sale going on, so I will just wait at the cafe. I head over to it. I ordered myself a slice of strawberry shortcake before I sat down at an outdoor table. It was an incredibly sunny day, the temperature was perfect. I looked at the clouds as they slowly moved in the sky. 

"Amy?" I heard a voice, I looked in its direction. I saw Sonia, she had such a sad look on her face. She walked over to where I was, she had quite a few bags in her hands. She sat down across from me. She invited herself to sit with me. "I been wanting to talk to you. I heard about what happened with you and Sonic. At first, I heard that Sonic couldn't find you, so I got worried that you got kidnapped, and then I heard from Manic that Sonic cheated on you. I am so sorry that my idiot of a brother did that to you." Sonia went on; her eyes looked like they were watering up. 

"I'll be alright. I was actually here to talk to someone for advice since I haven't done anything since I found out about him kissing Sally." I mentioned. I gave her a soft smile. Even if Sonic cheated on me, Sonia did nothing in this, and I shouldn't get upset at her when she is only trying to be nice to me. 

"You mean that you haven't dumped him yet? Girl, he cheated on you with his ex, Sally Acorn. You two had only been dating for a week beforehand. If all the years you committed to him, respected him, and loved him is only going to be returned with him basically making out with his ex. Then he doesn't deserve you. You have to make a choice. The more you delay the break-up, the longer you will only hurt yourself more. I know he is my brother, but you spent too long of time caring for him to allow him to disrespect you like that. You will find someone who will love you the way you deserve, but it's not him. He ruined that for both of you." Sonia said with a stern tone. She looked the most serious that I have ever seen her. Her eyes seemed both cold and warm. I felt a lump in my throat. She is right. I've been delaying the break up since I didn't want to see him but I have to. No, I need to do that. "I understand all this is hard, and I understand that you are hurting. However, you HAVE to put yourself first." 

"I'm sorry..." I muttered under my breath. Sonia's eyes widened quickly, and then her expression softened. 

"No, Amy, you don't need to apologize. Maybe I was I a bit too harsh on you there." Sonia apologized as she gave me a sad look. "I just wanted you to see your worth. I don't apologize for what I said, just how I said it. " She sighed as she put her bags on the ground close to her feet. 

"I understand what you mean. It just hurts knowing that you are most likely right." I responded calmly. My heart betrayed my attempt at being calm. I crossed my legs and held my hands together. I need to stay calm, I am in public. Maybe I could change the topic. Manic did mention that Sonia went on a date with a member of his band. "So I heard from Manic that you went on a date a few days ago."
