The buzz of his phone cut through the silence like a gunshot.
Sky flinched.
His hand dove into his pocket, fumbling slightly before he pressed it to his ear.
"Umm... Sky? They just came to the dorm."
He stood, heartbeat in his throat. "Was anyone with them?"
"No. Just the two of them."
A beat of silence. Then—
"Get in," Sky barked, already turning on his heel.
"What? What happened?" Dew asked, stumbling after him, Bright hot on his heels.
"They got inside the dorm," Sky said, voice clipped and cold.
"With Nani?" Bright's voice cracked, eyes searching Sky's face for hope.
Sky didn't answer.
"With Nani?" Dew pressed, panic creeping into his voice.
Sky's jaw clenched. He shook his head, eyes burning. A flash of Nani's face—unmoving, his head lolling—crashed through his mind like a wave. His fist slammed into the steering wheel as the car screeched forward. "Goddammit!"
Dew gasped, fingers trembling on his lap, staring out the window as if the darkness would answer him. His lips moved in silence: Where are you, Nani? What did they do to you?
Sky didn't bother to park when they reached the dorm. He barely stopped the car before launching himself out, the engine still humming.
Dew and Bright ran after him, barely keeping pace as Sky stormed down the hallway, rage radiating off of him like heat.
They reached the door.
Sky didn't knock.
He pounded.
The door creaked open—and Marc barely had time to react before Sky's foot landed square in his chest, sending him flying backward into the room.
Jim, standing in the corner, paled.
Sky was on them before they could think.
Fists. Elbows. His growl barely human.
Marc tried to get up. A punch knocked him back down.
Jim reached for something—a bottle, maybe—but Sky was too fast.
Dew and Bright rushed in, grabbing Sky's arms, trying to pull him back as he stood over Marc's bloodied face, his knuckles red and raw.
"Sky! Sky, stop!"
Sky's chest heaved, his eyes burning with a fury neither of them had ever seen.
Marc coughed, groaning, wiping blood from his mouth. "What... are you talking about?" he hissed, eyes glazed.
"Don't bother." Dew's voice was shaking. "We saw the CCTV footage at the club."
Jim laughed. Low. Cold. Like he was daring them to break him in half.
Sky lunged again. Grabbed his collar.
"Are you laughing?" Sky snarled. "Where is he?!"
Marc coughed a laugh. "You're not gonna let us walk, even if we tell you."
Sky's fingers tightened.
"You think you're so great," Marc wheezed, blood bubbling at his lips. "You paid us to bully him—then turned on us. Made us a joke."
Sky froze.
Dew turned to him sharply. "What is he saying?"
Marc sneered. "Welcome party, remember? Who told the seniors Nani'd be fun to taste? You made him a target, Sky."
