"What the fuck were you doing?!" Dew's voice cracked as he slammed his fists into Sky's face, over and over, his breaths coming out in ragged, furious gasps. His knuckles ached, his muscles burned, but the rage, the fear, the bitter taste of betrayal, kept his fists flying, kept his heart racing.
Sky didn't move, didn't flinch, didn't raise his hands to defend himself. He simply took the blows, his head snapping back with each punch, his jaw clenched, his eyes unfocused, his mind blank, his body swaying with each impact.
A few male nurses rushed in, their shoes squeaking against the polished tiles as they grabbed Dew by the shoulders, their voices blending into a panicked chorus as they struggled to pull him off. Another pair rushed to the bed, they carefully checked on Nani, who lay limp, his head lolled to the side, his lips parted, his skin pale and clammy.
Sky's breath came out in short, uneven gasps, blood trickling down his nose, his vision blurring, his heart racing, his mind spinning. He swayed, his body rocking back and forth, his chest heaving, his breaths coming out in short, shallow bursts.
"I said I would trust you!" Dew yelled, his voice cracking, his fingers trembling as he struggled against the nurses holding him back, his eyes wild, furious, his chest heaving. "I said I would trust you, Sky!"
Sky's lips parted, his chest rising and falling in rapid, uneven gasps, his heart pounding, his mind blank, his vision swimming with dark, flickering shadows. "I was just... I thought..."
"What?! What were you trying? What the hell were you thinking?!" Dew's voice echoed through the sterile, dimly lit room, his fists still clenched, his breath coming out in harsh, ragged gasps.
"I thought... it might fix him," Sky mumbled, his voice weak, shaky, his eyes unfocused, his body swaying as he sat on the cold, hard tiles, his blood mixing with the thin, sterile air. "And then... I don't know what took over me. I couldn't stop. I couldn't stop releasing my pheromones... as if he was asking for it... as if..."
"Are you insane?! He was begging you to let him go! Are you out of your mind?!" Dew's voice cracked, his breath coming out in short, furious bursts, his fingers trembling, his heart racing, his mind spinning.
Sky's head lolled to the side, his eyes half-lidded, his breaths coming out in short, shallow gasps, his body swaying, his vision swimming with dark, flickering shadows. His lips parted, a thin, weak, shaky breath slipping from his throat as his head fell back, his body slumping against the wall, his chest rising and falling in short, uneven gasps.
A nurse rushed to him, "He's going into shock! He's overdosed on his own pheromones! Get a stretcher!"
Dew remained frozen, his eyes wide, his breath coming out in short, shallow gasps, his heart racing, his mind spinning, his fists still clenched, his knuckles white, his skin cold, clammy. What the hell just happened?
They rushed Sky out of the room, his limp, unconscious body slumped against the thin, sterile sheets of the stretcher, his head lolling to the side, his lips parted, his breaths coming out in short, uneven gasps, his skin pale, clammy, his eyes closed, his body trembling.
They cleaned Nani, carefully wiping the thin, sticky layer of blood from his face, his chest, his arms, their hands trembling, their breaths coming out in short, panicked bursts as they lifted his limp, unconscious body onto a fresh, sterile bed, his head lolling to the side, his lips parted, his skin pale, clammy.
The room was thick with the overwhelming, suffocating stench of pheromones, the air heavy, oppressive, making even the alpha nurses weak, their legs shaking, their breaths coming out in short, shallow gasps as they struggled to breathe, to move, to think.
