Alliances, a concept I never much cared for, yet they keep finding their way into my life, like an unwanted guest that refuses to leave. I suppose I never trusted the idea of them. Trust in general isn't something I've got a lot of room for. The world doesn't seem to work that way, people are expendable, alliances are temporary, and loyalty is a joke.

I've been through enough fights to know that. One minute, someone's your ally, standing shoulder to shoulder in battle. The next minute, they're either dead or stabbing you in the back. It's just how it goes. I've had my share of broken promises, betrayal, and bloody backstabs. So when someone offers a deal, I'm usually the first one to walk away. I've never needed anyone to watch my back.

Valia: You look cool in the dark.

Legend: Here to give yourself up?

Valia: I don't wanna make things too easy for you so no.

Legend: Need I use force then?

Valia: I'm not looking for a fight.

I don't like her. Just kill her already.

Legend: What do you want then?

Valia: I heard Ophis hired you to kill Great Red.

Legend: Gossip travels fast. You heard right.

Valia: I'm here to convince you not to do it.

Legend: Why? Because you wanna do it yourself? Do you even know who you're up against? You don't stand a chance, not you, nor the rest of the brigade.

Valia: You don't understand—

Legend: I understand more than you. Fighting dragons is no joke, especially ancient ones. Besides, I'm not sure if I'll even do it.

Valia: Didn't you make a deal with Ophis?

Legend: Only in words. But words are worth as much as dirt.

Valia: So, you won't kill it then?

You better not. That dragon will rip you to shreds.

Legend: Haven't decided yet. Enough about that, tell me all you know about the recent deal with Ophis and the AALN.

Valia: What deal?

Legend: Don't lie to me.

Valia: And what will I get if I tell you?

Legend: You'll get to keep your life.

Valia: You want to kill me? Go ahead. There's nothing interesting in this life for me anymore.

Legend: Ophis and AALN. Tell me all you know about them.

Ooh~ You're using that technique of yours to brainwash her? You know, if you used it more often the AALN would be long exposed by now.

Valia: Ugh... yes... something about a hero squad in L.A.

Legend: That it?

Valia: That's all you don't know...

Legend: Go home now. And stop bothering me.

L.A.? Hero squad? Seems they are expanding operations. I can't go to California without a proper lead. I should investigate this, but first, patrol.
