Phantom Strings

Dada burnt Tumpa last year, I am scared now. I don't like this feeling there are voices in my head now and they wont stop. They tell me to kill Dada and Jake, I can't breathe.

Today early morning I was playing with Thomas and he fell, he cried like a little baby. Ugh like always.

The nanny went inside with Thomas so I ran. I ran to the forest because Dada threw Tumpa's ashes there, the trees called me to them. I don't remember how deep I went.

The trees were so tall, there wasn't enough light and the sun was just rising.

Water fall. Crystal blue water, the sound scared me. The strength of the water was too much.

Too out of control.

I didn't go too close, I don't want to fall.

There isn't enough air in my body I need to breathe but the sounds scare me.

I collapse onto my knees, gasping for air.

I tasted something salty in my mouth, tears.

I was crying. Like Thomas. I don't cry! Usually I hold Tumpa and she stops it.

Tumpa. No. Tumpa died.

I feel pressure in my throat and hear sobs.

It's mine.

My eyes hurt, I rub them and stand up. I dust off the dirt from my skirt and hold my chest. Do what nanny taught you.

I hear laughing, my head snaps up. Beautiful woman with blue glass eyes- Like Blue eyed boy.

I gasp.

There's a man next to her, he's holding her. Must be nice being held like that.

Bang! Bang!

My body jerks, and fear rushes through me.

Blood, water, blood water. There's blood in the water fall.

My eyes widen as I hear the thuds of 2 bodies falling into the water fall.

My watch beeps, my blood rate is way too high. I blink. They were shot, they died. The Blue glass eyes woman is gone.

My breathing speeds, my brain stops. I freeze. My eyes go void and my breathing regulates.

My eyes harden and I go numb.

They're with Tumpa now.

They died like Tumpa.

Maybe if I fall I could be with Tumpa too?

I swallow, I should go home.
