I was scared—I had always been a coward. Remembering who he was felt like a burden on my shoulders. It had been a long time since I last spoke with Chimon.
I had been closed off, isolated. The light not reflecting in my eyes in any way was corrupting me.
I do not belong to the darkness; I am a light. I must burst with brightness to stand tall.
If the darkness exists to protect me, if it stands behind me, I will beg for it to be with me.
Tell me, my love, where have you been?

I was lost in deep thoughts. Ohm walked out the door. It felt like I was wishing for something that should happen not to, and for something that shouldn’t happen to come true. Everything was so unclear—no information, no records.
I called out to Ohm correctly.

Nanon: Do you want to lock me up in this room? At least show me around the house. Introduce whoever’s here by name, and explain in more detail how I ended up here. Darkness is my weakness.

Ohm: Then go downstairs, take a tour of the house, see what’s what—maybe it’ll help you remember, hm?

Nanon: Don’t blame me for going downstairs.

Ohm nodded without saying anything. There were servants in the house, but only two. Ohm had an assistant named Perth, and a friend named Drake who worked as an executive at the company. Everything seemed normal.
Aside from that, I started wandering around the house. There were photos left from high school—Drake, Perth, Ohm, and many others in group photos. They all looked so familiar.
But what caught my eye the most was Ohm smiling in those photos. It looked like a normal smile, but do people like him smile? Because I’ve never seen him smile when he’s with me.
Still, his smile was so captivating. To be honest, he was perfect in every way—flawless.

As I kept wandering, I came across Ohm’s middle school notebook. Usually, in the final year, teachers include all students in an album to keep as a memory.
I didn’t expect Ohm to have one.
I looked inside. The kids all looked so familiar. Why did everyone seem familiar? Weren’t these the bully kids from my middle school?
And there it was—Ohm’s name and photo:
“Ohm Pawat Chittsawangdee”
That’s when I realized that boy was Ohm.

Ohm suddenly entered the room.

Nanon: Realizing that boy was you—it’s comparable to death. If it were me, I would never have guessed. Did you lie and hide your real identity to manipulate me? Or to humiliate me?

Ohm: I just wanted you to remember. I wanted your mind to remember me, to whisper my name, to say I was the one who saved you.
And to humiliate you? Never.
You were the reason I stayed standing. I’m here because of you. I would never play with you when I should be grateful to you.
To be happy, I must give everything I have, right?

What he said left me stunned.
How could he still remember that sentence?
As I thought about it, he walked toward me, grabbed my waist tightly, and pulled me close, looking into my eyes.

Ohm: You are mine, and I am yours. You are my life and my happiness.
Even if you leave me, I’ll still be here for you—keeping you safe, protecting you.
I will love you with all my heart and soul.
Tell me—have your hopes faded?

Silence…
