and she chose the latter. what better way to celebrate your journey back home than with cheap soju bottles and a pack off chips since she had a bit of cash on her.
"miss i think you had enough drinks already maybe its best if you relax on the soju." the cashier came upto her worried since she looked like she would vomit out the food she had in her stomach if she took one more sip.
"hey! i can handle my alcohol im perfectly fine look." she took a sip of the soju only then to regret it since vomit crept up her throat.
"thats what i thought." the guy mumbled helping her up but she swatted his hand away obviously trying to hold onto the little pride that she has left.
she stumbled out of the store and gave a half wave to the cashier, something about him felt familiar so she kept him in the back of her mind.
as she walked up towards her front door sobered up from the air and the water that the cashier slipped into her jacket, she was about to knock on the door before her mother opened it.
"here give this too the lee's." she shoved a plate of mushrooms to her chest before shutting the door in her face. hyewon scoffed as she slightly stumbled towards the house across knocking on the door.
"ajumma i was told to give-" she stopped herself before she realised the person before her was one of her old best friends from ages ago.
"hyewon?" the older boy questioned not sure if its the girl he used to be friends with before. hell, she has grown up a lot she looks different and mature but she still had that mischievous vibe to her.
"taeyong its been so long." hyewon hugged the older memories of them together flashing in her head as she took in his scent.
their hug was cut short when she heard someone snicker behind them, "taeyong this is the fifth girl ive seen you with in a week whats going on." the familiar voice went on.
hyewon turned around and was a bit surprised to see the younger cashier from earlier on her friends doorstep. " lee donghyuck? your the cashier that bullied me out of the shop."
"i wouldn't say bullying now would i, also i go by haechan now." hyewon laughed at haechan shocked at how grown he became from the last time she saw him.
"you'll still be hyuck to me." she ruffled his hair before advancing into his house to go give the food to mrs lee.
"ah, hyewon its so nice to see you after all this time." she hugged her before gripping her shoulders to see how grown she became.
"you too mrs lee, its so good to be back here." after bowing she was about to leave the house before mrs lee stopped her.
"i need you to give these to the jungs please if you dont mind." she handed hyewon a container of rice before ushering her out.
hyewon sighed as she walked down the path to the jung residence, she puffed out the strand of hair off her face before reaching the door.
as she was about to open the door, there was someone stood besides her clad in a designer suit that must be from prada judging by the embroidery.
his hair was neatly combed with a strand of hair resting over his forehead giving him a serious look as well as the still poker face he wore.
" wow you are so hot." she said a little too loud since he raised his eyebrows at her at the outburst and the fact that she looked familiar.
" who are you?" he asked intrigued by the girl who just grew his ego by a bunch.
" im hyewon, you are?" she held out her hand waiting for him to shake it but he just stood there still.
" hyewon as in ha hyewon?" he carried on.
"in the flesh." she tried to lean on the pillar of the door but fell due to her drunkness.
" hyewon were you drinking." he quickly caught her, his hands wrapped around her waist and with the close proximity of their face an outsider would think they were making out.
their faces were extremely close that their noses almost brushed eachother, panting she analysed his face her fingers glided over his jawline and grazed his cheekbones.
"jaehyun?" she pushed him away from her which instantly made her fall right onto the ground as well as her container of rice.
"ow why'd you push me." he asked dumbfounded at how quickly she changed in the minute.
"cause you're you!" she got up dusting herself off.
"never missed your bitchy personality." he scoffed at how childish she was even though he was being immature as well.
" and i never missed your ugly face." she jabbed back.
" thats funny because weren't you calling me hot a second ago?" he asked amusedly as he stalked closer their chests nearly meeting.
"eat your shit jung." she huffed mad at how she lost the first fight of their reunion. she shoved the container of rice to him and walked away already sobered up from their run in.
jaehyun chuckled as he watched her walk off, glad that they still didn't change despite being apart for long and matured alot. "bye princess." he laughed even more as she scoffed after hearing that infamous nickname.
the other residents watched them with amusement and annoyance in their eyes all thinking the same thing, oh how i did not miss them together.
