Chapter 35: Just Made it Awkward.

"Woah! It's like a private neighborhood!" Cody exclaimed, looking at the long rows of dormitories.

"How many dormitories are there?" Alan muttered in awe, the sheer size of the buildings alone amazed him.

"There are... several. I've never thought to count." Kaye said as she too wondered just how many dormitories were on campus.

"This one is ours! Class 2-A!" Mina pointed to the brick building ahead, an excited smile on her face.

Cody nudges Kaye with his elbow, wiggling his brows as he says, "You're so spoiled here."

"Oh please." The fairy rolled her eyes and shoved him, causing the blonde to mutter a curse as he stumbled on the steps.

"That's abuse."

Talia scoffed, "Tch, stop whining. You love that shit."

Kaye tries to hide a smile behind her palm as Cody flushes a bright red, his mouth sputtering like a fish out of water. Alan couldn't hold his own laughter. Deep chuckles pass his lips as he brings up a large hand to pat his friend on the back.

"Why're you so worked up? It's not like it's true."

Deciding to join in on the fun, Mina mutters, "Unless..."

Cody whips around to glare at her, but his face only grows redder. "I hate all of you," he grumbles, stomping up the remaining steps. The group follows behind him, their laughter echoing across the courtyard.

Kaye steps around Cody to open the door before looking back at her friends, "Welcome to what I call home."

She opens the door, stepping aside so everyone can walk in. Talia grimaces as her eyes land on the lime green walls, she leans over to Kaye, "I see what you mean about the poor paint choices. Yuck."

Alan and Cody take in the height of the building, completely in awe. Cody is just about to comment on it when shouting from the common area grabs everyone's attention.

"What the fuck was that Sero?" Kaminari calls out, swinging a red controller in the air while he shouts at Sero on the adjacent green couch.

Sero just laughs, lounging back on the couch with his own blue controller. "Not my fault you can't dodge a blue shell, bro."

Kaminari throws his head back with a groan. "I swear you're cheating!"

"Who's winning?" Mina calls out, bouncing over to peek at the TV screen where Mario Kart is displayed.

"It'll definitely be me the nex'th't round." Mineta grins confidently beside Kaminari.

Sero raises an eyebrow at him, controller twirling in his hand. "Sure, just like the last three rounds you said that."

"Hey! I wa'th ju'th't warming up!" Mineta protests, crossing his small arms with a huff.

Kaye clears her throat, drawing everyone's attention to the group standing in the doorway. "Hey guys, these are my friends from back home." She gestures to the trio behind her, and several heads turn to observe the newcomers with curious expressions.

Red spikes perk up, revealing Kirishima who sat on the floor. He waves at the group enthusiastically. "Oh hey! New faces! I'm Kirishima!" His sharp-toothed grin is infectious as he abandons his position as spectator of the Mario Kart tournament.

As he gets up, Sero pauses the game, Mineta and Kaminari join to introduce themselves. Kirishima puffs his chest out and straightens his shoulders as he bounds up to Alan. Despite the set of delicate butterfly wings on the young man's back, his strength and manliness were evident. Large pectoral muscles and biceps stretched his black shirt as he stood a whopping four inches taller than the redhead. Kirishima had never felt so small.
