Both Minho and Chan were equally taken aback.. Minho was the first one to snap out. "Kim... Taehyung? But... Why..?"

Hyunjin's expression was blank like always, but his eyes now had a spark emitting from them...

Chan cut in. "But.. How do you know.. I mean.. It can't be because of the warehouse incident..."

The warehouse incident was assumed to be done by the Kim family with the help of the Jeon family.. But it was then proven false.. What was said to cause the fire was actually a mistake by a guard..

While the investigations where going on during that time, a trusted guard of Hyunjin stepped up and confessed to have seen another guard lighting and smoking a cigarette behind the warehouse.. And since the region was a dense forest, the spark from the cigarette may have caught onto some dry leaves and spread like that..

Since smoking and drinking during work was strictly restricted by Hyunjin, the guard claimed that he was scared to tell Hyunjin earlier as he didn't want his colleague to be fired... But this was all just a confession by a guard and had no strict proof

However.. This guard was one of the trusted guards working under Seojun.. So Hyunjin had not thought much of it and just accepted that the fire was caused because of this... Which was, the first and most stupid thing he did till now.. (If you don't remember Seojun, I had previously mentioned him in a chapter.. He is Hyunjin's most trusted left hand men, while Minho is the right hand and Chan acts like an advisor for Hyunjin.. Seojun was in a temporary leave and came back after the Warehouse incident. He is not here now because he's claimed to be in an important errand..)

"Or maybe it could be.." Hyunjin spoke, his tone was filled with nothing else but anger and disappointment "Chan.. Fuck! I'm so stupid! Why the fuck did I just let it go like that! I should've investigated further!"

Both Chan and Minho were once again dumbfounded. Minho spoke, also getting frustrated. "Hyunjin calm down! You're not making any sense now!"

Hyunjin abruptly sighed, and drank the whole glass of whiskey in one go before continuing. "Sorry.. But think about this.. If the fire happened at around 2.. And the guards said they started the party at 12.. And the guard saw him smoking while he was on his way to the party.. And let's suppose the other guard threw away the cigarette at around 12.15..How does the timings even match??"

Minho paused."So.. The warehouse wasn't burnt down by fire caused by cigarettes.. Someone had done it intentionally!" Minho exclaimed as he got a grasp of the whole situation.

"And the person who done it forced the guard to lie? But.. Why would he.. He works under Seojun, so.. He should be trusted right.." Bangchan suddenly cut in, making the other two look at him.

"..."

"Does that mean.. Seojun is behind this too...?" Chan asked after a pause..

Hyunjin's brows furrowed. He hesitated a bit before speaking. "N-no.. Why would he be in this.. It can't be.. Maybe they manipulated the guard and Seojun didn't even know.."

Seojun would never do it.. Right??

Hyunjin's father had taken him in while he was a boy wandering in the street.. Their family had given him hope.. A new life.. And he was extremely close to Hyunjin as they grew up together.. So.. The thought of his trusted companion doing that was beyond imaginations for Hyunjin.

"Hyunjin.. Why wouldn't he be? I mean.. Look.. Why isn't he here now?" Chan voice was a bit louder now. "And why did he suddenly take a leave and came back just after the warehouse fire incident??"
