Hey just got inspired by a convo on 抖阴社区 with TechnoGecko and I just came up with a really interesting story that feels like the "Where Did The Rainbows Go?" alternate version of the "Where Your Inner Child Goes" story, but a bit closer to the Canon NNGA, like a story of rewrite of it from Nurp-Naut's personality!
Basically, the Medix (mainly Skrubz and Tuth) have been refusing to take care of patients, or at least properly since Skrubz hoped the I-Cubit would make it less bloody to work with patients and an affected patient stuck an I-Cubit into Tuth's mouth, shouting "Let's see how YOU like it, CAVITY!". Nurp and Naut, both affected by the I-Cubit also, came to them to be separated but the Medix didn't care, so they looked to King Nixel to separate them and he did.. by pulling Naut off his head and throwing him aside like a useless disk while Nurp went out into the world, the I-Cubit already fueling an unusual ego while Naut may have been used as the new brainwashed face for a Nixelite mech or something to test on for mixel-related experiments. Or maybe it's like that daydream I kept having of a room in Nixel Land where a giant Max (with all of its components unwillingly mixed into it by the nixel soldiers as an experiment) was chained to a wall and periodically electrocuted like some sick experiment, where Naut would end up being forcibly mixed with another captured mixel (most likely either one of the nixed mixels inside the I-Cubit Tower or whatever I-Cubit-affected/aka easily manipulated mixel they could find), except it'd obviously end up in a murp but eh. Obviously after the whole finale ends and everyone's saved, Nurp realizes Naut's gone and regrets falling to the I-Cubit's influence of wanting him gone so he wants to save Naut... but what he finds out about him won't exactly be good for his eyes.
